12 Beautiful Small Town of California, United States 2022
Austin, Texas's capital, is located at the confluence of the Colorado River and the Edwards Plateau. Austin, the United States' second largest state capital, was created in 18 39 and named after Stephen F. Austin, the Father of Texas.
Austin is now a major administrative, educational, and cultural hub. The University of Texas, the Lyndon B. Johnson Library and Museum, and the Bullock Texas State History Museum are all located in Austin. The red-granite State Capitol, which was modelled after the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., is another tourist destination.
Despite being one of North America's fastest expanding cities, Austin has abundant opportunities to interact with nature. The Colorado River's Lady Bird Lake, a river-like reservoir, flows right through downtown and defines recreation in the area. Millions of Mexican free-tailed bats live in the landmark Congress Avenue bridge over the water, emerging in the nights to feed on the local mosquito population.
With this list of the best attractions and activities to do in Austin, you can plan your trip to the city.
