Daniel Aßmann erkundet die Region Friesland, die als die schönste und eigenwilligste der zwölf niederländischen Provinzen gilt. Bei einem Urlaub im Norden von Holland gibt es viel zu entdecken, denn die stolzen Friesen haben eine eigene Sprache, eigene Brauchtümer und Traditionen. Berühmt ist die älteste Pferderasse Europas, eher unbekannt das Pulsstockspringen, und bei Touristen beliebt sind handgefertigte Klompen oder Keramiken. Mit einer Solex, einem in Friesland beliebten Moped, erkundet Daniel Aßmann die Region.
Friesisch gilt hier als Amtssprache, die neben Niederländisch gesprochen wird. Die Geschichte der Provinz (Hauptstadt Leeuwarden) lässt sich bis in die Jahre zwischen 400 und 200 vor Christus zurückverfolgen. Im 15. Jahrhundert war die Provinz für kurze Zeit sogar unabhängig.
Weil Friesland mit Ijsselmeer, unzähligen Wasserstraßen und vielen kleineren Seen ein einziges Wassersportparadies ist, steigt Daniel Aßmann im Nationalpark de Alde Feanen in ein Skûtsje, ein friesisches Plattbodenschiff. In Leeuwarden besucht er ein ehemaliges Gefängnis, das heute Kultur- und Begegnungszentrum ist. Im Dark Sky Park Lauwersmeer wird er zum Sternegucker.

Campertrip de Kuilart in Koudum (campertrip 23)
De Kuilart gelegen in een prachtige waterrijke omgeving, aan de Fluessen in de Zuidwesthoek van Friesland. De omgeving leent zich dan ook uitstekend om erop uit te gaan in moeder natuur. Wandelen, fietsen of watersporten?
Koudum is een dorp in de gemeente Súdwest-Fryslân, in de Nederlandse provincie Friesland.
Het ligt ten ten zuidoosten van Hindeloopen, ten zuidwesten van It Heidenskip, ten noordwesten van Oudega en ten noordoosten van Hemelum. De dorpskern ligt tussen het Jan Broerskanaal, de Koudumervaart en de N359.
In 2021 telde het dorp 2.660 inwoners. Onder het dorp vallen ook de buurtschappen Bovenburen, Galamadammen en Grote Wiske. Hoewel het bekend staat als een watersportplaats kent het dorp zelf maar een kleine haven aan de Koudumervaart, de grote jachthavens bevinden zich in de buurtschap Galamadammen.

Grenzend aan de gezellige dorpskern van Woudsend biedt de camping alles voor een onbezorgde vakantie. Met een keuze uit 5 restaurants, verschillende winkels en tal van gezellige terrasjes is het echt genieten.
Het ligt ten noordwesten van Sloten, ten oosten van Ypecolsga, ten zuiden van Heeg en ten zuidwesten van Koufurderrige. Het dorp is een watersportplaats met de dorpskern aan de Ee, en het is daarmee verbonden met het Slotermeer en via de Woudsenderakken met het Heegermeer.
Het dorp ligt aan de route van de Elfstedentocht en heeft meerdere havens. De meeste watersporthavens liggen aan de Wellesloot. Deze vaart stroomt naar de Noorder Ee, de Ee en de Woudsenderakken. Aan die laatste ligt ook een haven met een camping, aanpalend ligt er een vakantiepark van het dorp Indijk.
Angrenzend an das gemütliche Dorfzentrum von Woudsend bietet der Campingplatz alles für einen unbeschwerten Urlaub. Mit einer Auswahl von 5 Restaurants, diversen Geschäften und zahlreichen gemütlichen Terrassen macht es richtig Spaß. Es liegt nordwestlich von Sloten, östlich von Ypecolsga, südlich von Heeg und südwestlich von Koufurderrige. Das Dorf ist ein Wassersportzentrum mit dem Dorfzentrum am Ee und ist daher mit dem Slotermeer und über die Woudsenderokken mit dem Heegermeer verbunden. Das Dorf liegt an der Route der Elfstedentocht und verfügt über mehrere Häfen. Die meisten Wassersporthäfen befinden sich am Wellesloot.
Dieser Kanal fließt zum Noorder Ee, dem Ee und den Woudsenderakes. Letztere hat auch einen Hafen mit Campingplatz und daneben liegt ein Ferienpark des Dorfes Indijk.
