During our Ukraine Series, we spend an enjoyable weekend in Lviv.
Lviv is becoming a popular stop on any Eastern European trip. It's cheap, easy to get around and there is so much to experience. We say experience because almost every coffee shop, bar or restaurant offers more than just a drink or food. Themed, fun and very photogenic, you will end up spending much more time than you expected.
The historic old town is very comfortable to walk, with many markets, churches and restaurants serving traditional Ukrainian food and also catering for international tastes.
Our weekend was simply not enough time to see all Lviv has to offer so we headed back for New Years. Check out that video here

Kiev city is a destination we didn't know much about prior to traveling to Ukraine. Arriving with fresh eyes it didn't take us long to fall in love with Kyiv. This week we’re showing you around Kiev, Ukraine. This was our first time travelling to the country, so we hardly knew what to expect, though we did have an inkling we’d find churches with onion domes, borsht on every menu, and very cheap prices, but that was it!
Well, we found some of that, but we also discovered a fascinating city with ornate architecture, massive Soviet monuments, a completely new cuisine, more churches and monasteries than we ever thought possible, and friendly people despite the language barrier.
The following is our travel guide to the city. Now let us share with you 20 things to do in Kiev on your next visit!
And that’s a wrap for our visit to Kiev! This was our first time travelling in Ukraine, but we were hooked right from the start.
This destination felt very underrated with few tourists around, yet we were surrounded by beautiful architecture, there were churches galore to visit, the cuisine was hearty and filling, and everything was super affordable.
If you are thinking of travelling to Kiev, we hope this video was able to give you a taste of what it’s like.

The capital of the state is not the only place that is worth a traveler’s attention. If you come to the country for several days, do not stay in the city through your holidays. Leave a day or even two to visit the suburbs. You’ll open a completely different view to
yourself. You’ll feel the taste of freedom and unity with nature. Mountains, plains, and cliffs will leave you speechless. When staying at the foot of a mountain or on the edge of a precipice, admiring landscapes will make you hold your breath.
