Unique Places in Budapest | 5 Things to Do in Pozsonyi Street | Hungary Travel Guide
In this video we'll show you a Unique Place in Budapest tourist guides often overlook: Tte Pozsonyi út, which is a hidden gem filled with restaurants, brunch places, cafes and shops!
When in Hungary, Budapest, The Margaret Boulevard is full of interesting sights you can enjoy as you make your way from one nice place to another while exploring the capitol. You may have been to Margaret Island or looked at the gorgeous looking Vígszínház theater, but you may have missed a little street right next to Margaret Bridge: The Pozsonyi út!
This street has many restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisines to choose from. If you want traditional Hungarian cuisine, want to explore how the local asian restaurants are, get hungry for spanish tapas, or want to try some italian, you'll surely find something that wont dissapoint.
The are also has many small artisan shops for baked goods, pizza slices, or sweet desserts.
There are also many cafes which focus on delivering a cozy experience along with some specialty coffee, so if you also enjoy coffee for its flavor, make sure to visit them! You can also buy some excellent coffee beans!
What's also really cool about the Pozsonyi street is that most places are pet friendly, there are even dedicated spaces on the street in case your little one needs to go!
It's impossible to call out all the places, even we didn't have the ability to visit every single establishment. We wish that this video inspires you to visit the area and explore it for yourself!

Experience the charm of Budapest's storied past by exploring the captivating Buda District. Located on the west bank of the iconic Danube River, Buda boasts a rich history, stunning architecture, and enchanting sights. This historical district offers a distinctive blend of tradition and modernity, captivating travellers with its uniquely Hungarian flavour.
The Buda district is home to Castle Hill, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a cornerstone of Hungarian history. Walking up its cobbled streets, you are transported back in time, surrounded by an aura of grandeur from centuries past. Atop the hill, the Buda Castle, or Royal Palace, stands majestically, offering panoramic views of the city and the Danube below. The Buda Castle houses the Hungarian National Gallery and the Budapest History Museum, making it a must-see for art and history enthusiasts.
Next on your tour of Buda, visit the iconic Matthias Church, an architectural marvel that has witnessed the coronation of several Hungarian kings. Its colourful tiled roof and Gothic spires are truly a sight to behold. Right next to the Matthias Church is the Fisherman’s Bastion, a fairy-tale-like fortress with seven towers, each representing the seven Magyar tribes that founded Hungary.
Take a stroll through the winding streets of the Buda Castle District, lined with quaint cafes, charming boutiques, and art galleries. Enjoy a cup of traditional Hungarian coffee and a slice of Dobos Torta, a local delicacy, as you bask in the district's timeless charm.
A visit to the Buda district is incomplete without experiencing the Gellért Thermal Bath. Housed in a stunning Art Nouveau building, this world-renowned spa offers healing waters from thermal springs, perfect for a relaxing dip after a day of sightseeing.
For those interested in Hungary’s military past, the Citadella, located on top of Gellért Hill, is an essential stop. Once a fortress, this location now serves as a symbol of liberty, marked by the Freedom Statue visible from various parts of the city.
Experience the tranquillity of Margaret Island, a green oasis between Buda and Pest. With its lush parks, thermal baths, and historic ruins, the island offers a peaceful retreat from the city's bustling pace.
Buda's culinary scene is as rich as its history. Indulge in traditional Hungarian dishes such as goulash, paprikash, or lángos at one of the many restaurants dotting the district. Pair your meal with a glass of Tokaji, Hungary's famous sweet wine, for a complete gastronomic adventure.
The Buda district encapsulates the essence of Budapest's history, culture, and natural beauty. With its historical landmarks, stunning panoramas, relaxing thermal baths, and mouth-watering cuisine, Buda is a traveller's dream. It promises a blend of unforgettable experiences that will make your visit to Budapest truly unique.

Hungary’s capital city Budapest is actually made up of 3 unified cities, with Buda and Óbuda on the west bank of the Danube and Pest on the east bank.
There are a wide range of different things for visitors to see and do, from museums to thermal spas, so everyone should be able to find something that tickles their fancy.
1. Parliament Building
The Hungarian Parliament Building is one of the largest buildings and most recognizable in Budapest.. Although the impressive building looks fantastic from every angle, to see the whole building in its full glory, it is worth viewing it from the other side of the Danube.
Built on the Danube in 1902, this is the largest building in the country and home to the national assembly. took almost 20 years to build after the three cities that make up modern Budapest (Buda, Pest, and Óbuda) united in 1873. The literal translation means “House of the Nation” or “House of the Country.” You can take guided tours of the building where you can learn about the history of the city and how the government of the country works.
2. Széchenyi Thermal Baths
They are the largest medicinal bath in Europe and the prettiest if you ask us.
The waters are rich in sulphates, calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate and fluoride, which are believed to help patients with degenerative joint illnesses and other medical issues.
The two outdoor pools are fantastic places to visit on a cold, dark night, as the steam rising from the hot water makes the whole place seem wonderfully .
If you happen to be in Budapest on a Saturday, consider going to the Széchenyi baths pool party on Saturday nights at 10:30 p.m.-3 a.m. for an unforgettable night.
3. PARTY AT BUDAPEST RUIN BARS .
The nightlife in Budapest is one of the best in Europe and ruin bars are a big reason. It is located in the old Jewish Quarter
Each ruin bar is different, but they all are full of character expect every room to be different and very strange.
Ruin bars are super popular and can get crowded we suggest going before 11 p.m. to avoid the long lines and to grab a table. There are Budapest ruin bar tours that visit several bars, but you can easily create your own ruin bar crawl.
4. Heroes’ Square
It is the largest and most symbolic square in Budapest
a 36m-high pillar topped by a golden Archangel Gabriel, holding the Hungarian crown and a cross.
At the column's base are Prince Árpád and six other Magyar chieftains who occupied the Carpathian Basin in the late 9th century.
5. St. Stephen’s Basilica
This basilica is one of the most important religious buildings in Hungary, and visitors to the reliquary can see the right hand of Stephen, first King of Hungary.
As this is a holy site, visitors who plan on entering the church are asked to keep their knees and shoulders covered.
6. Danube Promenade
This stretch of the Danube walkway goes from the Elizabeth Bridge to the Chain Bridge, and is perfect for those who want a short, but interesting walk. Promenading along the Danube is a great way to see many of the most famous sights in the capital.
7. Dohány Street Synagogue
This synagogue is currently one of the largest in the world outside of Israel, despite the fact that Hungary’s Jewish population was significantly depleted during World War II.
The interior and the garden were restored in the 1990’s, with much of the funding coming from the Hungarian Jewish diaspora population worldwide.
8. Central Market Hall
It is Budapest’s most famous marketplace. Located just across the Freedom Bridge .
you can't miss it for its central location and its roof of colorful Zsolnay tiles from the town of Pécs.
Built in 1897 and the largest and oldest of Budapest's many markets, it's as interesting to view from the inside as it is on the outside .
9. House of Terror
The House of Terror holds exhibitions about the successive Fascist and Communist regimes which ruled Hungary during the 20th Century. The building itself was the former headquarters of the Fascist Arrow Cross Party, and the building was subsequently used as a prison and torture venue by the State Security services of Hungary.
10. Fisherman’s Bastion
Although the Fisherman’s Bastion looks like a medieval monument, it was actually built in the early 20th century in a neo-Gothic style, specifically to act as a panoramic viewing platform across the Danube, Margaret Island, and Pest.
So those are our recommendations for Budapest. what are yours? if you are from there or you have been there before please make sure to leave your tips and advice in the comments box below this video.

BUDAPEST WALKING TOUR - BUDAPEST TRAVEL GUIDE - BEST PLACES TO VISIT IN BUDAPEST - HUNGARY
#budapest2023 #travelguide #placestovisit #toureurope
Budapest, the heart and soul of Hungary, came to life in 1873 with the unification of three historically rich cities: Buda, Óbuda, and Pest. With a population nearing 2 million, this city is the epicenter of Hungarian administration, culture, economics, science, trade, and transportation. Much like Berlin, with its profound history and cultural wonders, which you can explore in-depth here, Budapest sprawls majestically on both sides of the Danube River.
The city is structured into 23 distinct districts, with the majority lying in Pest. Buda, with its rolling hills, stands in stark contrast to Pest’s expansive plains. Dominating the Buda landscape is the magnificent Gellért Hill, rising to 235 meters, presenting an unmatched panorama of Budapest. Linking the two sides are nine emblematic bridges. All, save for the Erzsébet híd, underwent reconstruction after their destruction during WWII, a testament to Budapest’s relentless spirit.

Budapest City Guide | 2023 Must Visit Destinations | #2024 #travel #budapest #europe
Budapest is the capital city of Hungary, situated on the banks of the Danube River, and it is often referred to as the Pearl of the Danube. It is a city of stunning architecture, rich history, and vibrant culture that has evolved over a thousand years.
The history of Budapest dates back to Roman times, when the area was known as Aquincum. During the Middle Ages, the Magyars (Hungarians) migrated to the region and established the Kingdom of Hungary. The city of Budapest was formed in 1873 by the merger of three cities: Buda, Pest, and Obuda.
Budapest is famous for its beautiful architecture, including Gothic, Baroque, and Art Nouveau styles. One of the most famous landmarks in Budapest is the Hungarian Parliament Building, a magnificent structure that dominates the Danube River. Other notable buildings include the St. Stephen's Basilica, the Fisherman's Bastion, and the Buda Castle.
