Join me as I explore the stations between Hereford and Newport and Cardiff and Maesteg, not the best day for filming but the line was completed and all the station completed in a reasonable time!
Mynydd Machen
The above link shows a 360 degree panoramic film taken from the trig point on Mynydd Machen. It begins looking south west towards Cardiff. The film then rotates clockwise around the trig point, looking west across the ridges of the South Wales valleys, then north, again with Pen y Fan in the distance and east (the view towards the Severn Bridges slightly obscurred by the beautiful communications masts) then south over Newport, Cardiff and the Bristol Channel. The hill is also one of the peaks visited on the Save Our Cardiff Reservoirs Walk on the 4th May 2013.

Garth Mountain - Lockdown Mountain Bike Ride
During lockdown mountain bike rides remain local but I am lucky to have amazing hills and mountains on my doorstep.
This is a short local cycle ride, due to the lock down exercise limit, to the peak of Garth Mountain in South Wales. Just over 1000ft high with amazing views to the south coast and England in the distance and to the north Pen Y Fan Mountain in the Brecon Beacons.

Exploring A Ruin in Wales- St. Mary's Church
A few hundred metres from Tintern Abbey sits St. Mary’s Church, a religious ruin in an idyllic spot.
The building is enchanting and the location offers some spectacular views of the Abby and valley below. Its quite a steep walk up to the church but it is well worth a visit.
