Billingshurst is a village and civil parish in the Horsham District of West Sussex, England. The village lies 8 miles south-west of Horsham, and 5.6 miles north-east of Pulborough. Billingshurst is located on the A29 road (the Roman Stane Street), at a point where the A272 road forms a crossroads with it. The civil parish has a land area of 7,952 acres (3,219 hectares). In the 2001 census 6,531 people lived in 2,677 households, of whom 3,451 were economically active. At the 2011 Census the population had increased to 8,232. The village's name probably came from Anglo-Saxon Billinges hyrst = Billa's son's wooded hill.
The village has a secondary school and a sixth form college, known together as The Weald School. Billingshurst Primary School (formerly two separate infant and junior schools, until a decision was taken in 2009 and implemented in 2010 to combine them into one) is situated near to The Weald.
The Weald School site contains a leisure centre with swimming pool and gym which is open to the public. A new sports area, Jubilee Fields, contains football pitches, two cricket pitches and pavilion, a fishing lake, and an exercise (trim trail) path. In the last year a new skatepark has also been added. Other facilities in the village include a tennis club and a lawn bowling club.
Billingshurst lies on the junction of the A29 and the A272 which are routes to Petworth, Petersfield, Haywards Heath, Pulborough and Bognor Regis. Billingshurst railway station, located on Station Rd. in Billingshurst, is on the main line from London Victoria to Bognor Regis and Chichester. It would take about 20 minutes to get to Crawley by train.
The village is near the Wey and Arun Canal, which waterway has not been fully navigable since the 1890s. Approximate travelling times by car from the larger towns and cities near Billingshurst are 35 minutes to Guildford, 30 minutes to Crawley and Chichester, 25 minutes to Haslemere and 35 minutes to Haywards Heath.
Billingshurst has five churches. St Mary's Church (Church of England) is the largest, with a mix of service styles, ranging from Book of Common Prayer communion services to informal family worship. Other churches are St Gabriel's Church (Catholic), Billingshurst Family Church (Evangelical; part of the Newfrontiers family of churches) and Trinity Church (United Reformed). Billingshurst Unitarian Chapel, set back behind the High Street, was founded in 1754 and is one of southeast England's oldest Nonconformist places of worship.

Places to see in ( Tenterden - UK )
Places to see in ( Tenterden - UK )
Tenterden is a town with a large conservation area in the Ashford District of Kent, England. It stands on the edge of the remnant forest The Weald, overlooking the valley of the River Rother. It was a member of the Cinque Ports Confederation.
Its riverside today is not navigable to large vessels and its status as a wool manufacturing centre has been lost. Tenterden has several voluntary organisations, some of which are listed below, seven large or very old public houses within its area and has long distance walking and cycling routes within its boundaries. The town's name is derived from the Old English Tenet Waraden, meaning a den or forest clearing in the forest which belonged to the men of Thanet.
The first record of dwellings in Tenterden can be found in a charter which mentions that it, as 'Heronden', began to grow from the 14th century around the strong local wool industry. Unlike other such centres in the Weald it had the advantage of access to the sea. Much of what is now Romney Marsh was under water, and ships docked at nearby Smallhythe. Timber from the Wealden forests was used to construct ships, and in 1449 Tenterden was incorporated into the Confederation of Cinque Ports as a limb of Rye. Ships built in the town were then used to help Rye fulfil its quota for the Crown.
In 1903, Tenterden Town railway station was opened. It closed in 1954, but half of it reopened in 1974 as the Kent and East Sussex Railway. The route starts at Tenterden Town Station and finishes at Bodiam station, near Bodiam Castle. The main line track is being extended to Robertsbridge (near Hastings) in East Sussex.
Tenterden is a nodal centre with routes radiating to Rolvenden and Hastings (A28), Wittersham and Rye (B2082), Appledore and New Romney (B2080), Woodchurch and Hamstreet (B2067) and Ashford and Maidstone (A28/A262). Tenterden has no mainline railway station, with the nearest being Headcorn (9 miles) and Ashford International (12 miles).
Tenterden's broad, tree-lined High Street offers a selection of shopping facilities, making the town an important destination for a number of smaller towns and villages in the area. It has a busy town centre which is home to many small boutiques and antique shops, as well as craft shops, book shops and various banks, side by side with larger national retailers. There is also a large Tesco which is accessible to pedestrians from the High Street (and by vehicles from Smallhythe Road), and a Waitrose store accessed by pedestrians from Sayers Lane (with vehicular access from Recreation Ground Road).
( Tenterden - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Tenterden . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Tenterden - UK

SWC Free Walk 8, Billingshurst to Amberley. 18/4/11.
Bluebells and Swallows - what a delight! Around 14.5 miles of walking through the West Sussex countryside, with some lovely splashes of lilac in season; a mix of woods, meadows and downs, with some rewarding views from the latter.
Could be a very muddy walk after rain in some places.

A361 Highway🇬🇧 || Barnstaple || 4K || 🇬🇧UK
The A361 is an A class road in England and at 195 miles (314 km) is the longest 3 digit A road in the UK. It runs south from Ilfracombe on the north Devon coast to Barnstaple, turning south-east to Tiverton then, after a break (the M5 connects the two sections), north east from Taunton in Somerset through Street and Glastonbury, along the bottom of the Mendip Hills through Shepton Mallet, past Frome and then into Wiltshire through Trowbridge, Devizes, Avebury and Swindon. It then runs through the eastern Cotswolds, via Lechlade, Burford and Chipping Norton and on through Banbury and Daventry before terminating at its junction with the A5 road at the village of Kilsby on the Northamptonshire-Warwickshire border near Rugby. Despite its length, most of the road is non-primary and relatively unimportant.

Trains on the Ingfield Light Railway Part 1
On the 17/06/2023, my friend visited the private Ingfield Light Railway, located in the grounds of Ingfield Manor School in Billingshurst in West Sussex during its annual summer fete, and he managed to film a train on said railway that was hauled by a miniature Southern V “Schools” Class steam locomotive number 905 “Tonbridge”, and there was also a miniature LMS Fowler 2F Class steam locomotive number 47166 at the back of the formation.
