Trichardt in the Mpumalanga region of South Africa is a small village approximately 15km outside on Secunda CBD.
After the site for the Sasol complex had been identified, it had to be decided whether to combine the existing towns of Evander and Trichardt into Secunda.
The huge burden of this nature would come at great financial costs, and administrative resources of the already established communities, as well as the tempo at which such development should proceed, and the decision was made to absorb Trichardt into Secunda. Evander would remain a separate and independent town.

Bethal Mpumalanga South Africa - A small farming town.
Bethal is a farming town which lies 155 km east of Johannesburg in the Mpumalanga region of South Africa, covering an area of 51 square kilometres and home to a population of approximately 75000 inhabitants.
The town originated and was established on 12 October 1880 on an old farm called Blesbok spruit, and the Origin of the name: The Beth- comes from Elizabeth du Plooi, wife of the co-founder Cornelius Michiel du Plooi, and the – “al” comes from Petrus Johannes' wife, Alida Joubert.
The earliest Naudé settlers in the Transvaal were almost all farmers. Petrus Johannes Naudé and his large family, as well as other relatives, settled in Bethal in the Eastern Transvaal. Their original land was named Naudésfontein.
Petrus Johannes Naudé, great-great-grandfather's younger brother, demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurship and was the founder of Bethal.
The established town became a municipality in 1921.

Delmas Mpumalanga South Africa - A small maize farming town
Delmas, which is a small maize farming town situated east of Johannesburg in Mpumalanga, South Africa, and is located some 19 km north-east of Springs and 73 km south-east of Pretoria.
The town was laid out in 1907 on the Witklip farm, (Afrikaans for White Stone), and has been administered by a town council since 1965.
The name was given by the Frenchman, Frank Campbell Dumat, the former owner of Witklip, after his grandfather's farm in France.
He originally laid out the town with 192 residential stands.
48, 4-hectare small holdings,
and 138 hectares of commonage.
By 1909, the governments added a further 5,500 hectares to the town and was divided into 85 small holdings of around 64 hectares.

Leandra is a town in Gert Sibande District Municipality in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa, which is located 45 km east-south-east of Springs, and is known for its maize farming and milling, which are the main industry in the area.
Originally, the town was laid out on the farm Brakkefontein and named Leslie in 1939, and is thought to be named after Leslie in Fife in Scotland.
An extension named Eendraach, was proclaimed in December 1957.
comprising the former towns of Eendrag and Leslie, the names were combined and renamed Leandra.
The town covers an area of 2.20 square kilometers and is home to a population of 2,023 residents.
