Top 10 Libya Cities By Population

The population history of Libya has experienced significant changes over the years. Here is an overview of the population trends in Libya:

1. Early History: Libya has a long history dating back to ancient times when it was inhabited by various Berber tribes. The exact population figures from this period are not well-documented.

2. Ottoman Rule (16th-20th Century): During the era of Ottoman rule, Libya's population remained relatively small and dispersed, consisting mainly of Bedouin tribes and a mix of Arab and Berber populations.

3. Italian Colonization (early 20th century): In the early 20th century, Libya was colonized by Italy. The Italian administration encouraged Italian migration to Libya, which led to an influx of settlers. By the start of World War II, the population of Libya was estimated to be around 1.5 million, with a significant number of Italians living in the country.

4. Independence and Gaddafi Era (1951-2011): Libya gained independence from Italy in 1951. During the rule of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, the population increased significantly. Gaddafi pursued policies that aimed to improve living standards and provided economic opportunities, which led to a growth in population. In 2011, the population of Libya was estimated to be around 6.5 million.

5. Post-Gaddafi Period: Following the uprising and subsequent overthrow of Gaddafi in 2011, Libya experienced a period of instability and conflict. This situation had an impact on the population, with many Libyans being displaced and others leaving the country as refugees. The exact population figures during this period are challenging to determine accurately due to the ongoing conflict and lack of reliable data.

TOP 10 Hottest Places in the WORLD 2022 ||10 Hottest Places in the WORLD | Top 10 hottest places

Hello guys! Hope you are doing great! Global warming is constantly rewriting records; places that have never seen rain are now being flooded; on the other hand, in other areas, sky-high temperatures are being recorded, and now the 50°C is no longer a rarity.
There are places on the earth that are unbearably hot, and it's better not to visit them in summer, or if you have to, keep yourself well hydrated and layer up against the sun to combat the sobering heat. This video will be about the Top 10 hottest places in the world. So, let's get started!

10: Ghadames, Libya
The first on the list is Ghadames, an oasis Berber town in northwestern Libya, also known as the “Pearl of the Desert”. Some archaeologists claim it is one of the oldest pre-Saharan towns, settled in the 4th millennium B.C.
Usually, the average temperature of the town in July is 41°C; however, the highest temperature ever recorded in the region is 55°, making it one of the literal hot spots in the world. The town has been listed as a UNESCO world heritage site as it portrays the traditional human settlements; there are approximately 1,300 houses in the city with connected rooftops.

9: Flaming Mountains, China.
The next on today’s list is the Flaming Mountains of China; they are also known as the Huoyan Mountains in the east of Turpan City and the northern rim of the Taklamakan Desert, known as the world’s, most dangerous desert.

8: Dallol, Ethiopia.
Dallol is a tiny remote village in the extreme north of Ethiopia; the town is a volcanic crater located 130 meters below sea level; it is famous for its earthy colors, salt lakes and hot springs, which discharge hyper-acidic brine and hyper-saline. A cinder cone volcano surrounds Dallol, which makes it one of the hottest areas in the world; the highest temperature it has ever reached is 49°C. The annual average high temperature of the village is 41.2°C; however, in the hottest months, it can reach up to 46.7°C.

7: Wadi Halfa, Sudan.
Wadi Halfa is a town located in extreme northern Sudan on Lake Nubia shores, near the Egypt border. In 1964 the historical village was destroyed because of flooding, due to which most of its inhabitants had to relocate; by 1965, only 3,200 residents were living in the city.

6: Turbat, Pakistan.
Turbat is in the southern Balochistan province of Pakistan and is one of the hottest cities in South Asia. In 2017 the city reported the highest temperature of 53.5°C. The summer lasts approximately 4.4 months and is muggy, sweltering, and arid, although the winters are much shorter, comfortably dry, and windy.

Number 5: Mitribah, Kuwait.
Mitribah is the weather station in northwest Kuwait. In July 2016, the location recorded the highest temperature of 54°C, the 3rd highest verified temperature ever recorded on earth. Since then, each year, the highs keep coming.

4: Dasht-e Lut, Iran.
The Lut desert, also known as the Dasht-E-Lut, is the 33rd largest desert in the world with an area of 51,800 Km². This salt desert is in eastern Iran; its name was derived from the Persian language, where “Dasht” means plain and “lut” means empty and bare, and it stands to its name as presently no one lives in this desert due to its climate condition and extreme weather.

3: Sahara Desert, Africa.
With an area of 9,200,000 Km², the Sahara Desert is the biggest hot desert on the planet; the desert is in the north of the Mediterranean Sea and is spread over 10 countries. The desert offers various land features to its visitors, but the most famous of them is the sand dune fields which can reach up to 183 meters high and cover 25% of the desert region.

2: Aziziyah, Libya.
The second of today’s list is Aziziyah, also spelt as El Azizia, a small town in northwestern Libya with an area of 1,940 Km² and is known as the first formal republic in Arab. In September 1922, the city came into the limelight when a local weather station reported a blazing temperature of 58°C as, at that time, a summer peak of 50°C was not that common; however, the claim was invalidated by the World Meteorological Organization in 2012.

1: Death Valley, California.
On top of our list is the Death Valley, a desert valley in eastern California north of the Mojave Desert. The valley lives up to its name and is the driest place in northern America and had reported a temperature of 54.4°C in the summer of 2020. The steep valley walls trap hot air and make the valley's temperature significantly high as the sun reheats air masses.

And here is the link of the YouTube channel of Zakayo, the Museveni singer at the beginning of the video:
@DOCTOR.RYAN..

In downtown Kampala, in Uganda, in Africa, I meet my friend Gamer, and I follow him to see how he manages to earn money to pay for his studies.
As I previously told him that I would like to try eating grasshoppers, Gamer bought some for me, and we enjoy this famous Ugandan delicacy together. For me, it's the first time I eat insects, and I actually find it very good.
As I meet several of Gamer's customers, I slowly discover that many Sudanese people fled from the war in Sudan, and now live in Uganda, hoping to be able, one day, to go back to their homes in Sudan.
