Maywood is a village in Proviso Township, Cook County, Illinois, United States in the Chicago metropolitan area. It was founded on April 6, 1869, and organized October 22, 1881. The population was 24,090 at the 2010 United States Census.
Bellwood is a village in Proviso Township, Cook County, Illinois, United States. Located 13 miles (21 km) west of Chicago's downtown Loop, the Village of Bellwood is bounded by the Eisenhower Expressway (south), the Proviso yards of the former Chicago & Northwestern, now Union Pacific Railroad (north), and the suburbs of Maywood (east) and Hillside and Berkeley (west). The population was 19,071 at the 2010 census.
East Garfield Park is on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois, west of the Loop. Taking its name from the large urban park, Garfield Park, the neighborhood is bordered by Franklin Boulevard on the north, Arthington and Taylor Streets on the south, Hamlin Avenue and Independence Boulevard to the west, and Rockwell Street to the east.
West Humboldt Park is the area west of Sacramento Boulevard. Many residents on this side of Humboldt Park are low-income working class residents. Though in conventional terms the Humboldt Park neighborhood has been considered between Western Avenue, Pulaski Road, North Avenue, and Chicago Avenue. The area west of Pulaski until Kenton Avenue is considered West Humboldt Park as well.

Tri-Taylor is a tiny neighborhood that consists of about 600 homes. Wedged between the ever-expanding medical district and the Eisenhower Expressway, A mere mention of the words “Taylor Street” and many native Chicagoans will be instantly transported to their first childhood memories of basil, marinara sauce, and homemade pasta. A destination for Italian immigrants (and throngs of others) since the city's inception, the triangular boundaries of the Tri-Taylor neighborhood are centered about Taylor Street in Chicago's near west side. Tri-Taylor's nineteenth century row houses are a glimpse back in time that still provide valuable living space today. New condo buildings have sprouted up, too, creating a beautifully blended combination of vintage design and modern residences. A far cry from its earlier days when Italian ristorantes ruled the streets, Tri-Taylor offers 21st century conveniences with everything from fast food favorites to Internet cafés.
Mostly residential and collegiate, the Near West Side is home to Maxwell Street, the birthplace of Chicago Blues and the Polish sausage sandwich. Nearby is a long-running Sunday market and Hull House museum, a former immigrant settlement founded by reformer Jane Addams. Michael Jordan made his name at the United Center, where the Bulls and Blackhawks play. Italian restaurants cluster on Taylor Street in Little Italy.
River North is a lively neighborhood in the Near North Side. It boasts luxe shops and eateries, plus posh nightclubs and cocktail bars. Opened in 1930 in a former industrial area, the sprawling Merchandise Mart attracts throngs of shoppers to its home and office design showrooms. Surrounding the Mart, artist's studios in converted warehouses and lofts form a hub that sustains the area's foremost art galleries.
