Beau Bassin Mauritius Vlog
Beau Bassin is a great place for a walk around and a bite to eat. With the arrival of the metro, this area has become a restaurant and shopping hub. The old train station, now the Post office, watches over the new metro station. Tangs Way is a relatively new development with a huge supermarket and lots of food outlets.

Beau Bassin, Mauritius. Burgers and bubble waffles.
Great adventure around the Metro. Crepe Café was a real surprise with the bubble waffles and chiros. Ricardo's burgers were good, but I must go back to try the fire cooked meats.
That said, Beau Bassin has a lot to see and tons to eat.
Check out the through the window drive through of Beau Bassin at the end.

Must-do day trip in Mauritius - Bois Cheri, Ganga Talao, Black river gorges, waterfalls
We do a great trip to the South of Mauritius. A must-do trip and best if you can do it on your last day as a trip to the airport. Starting with tea at Bois Cheri, a visit to Grand Bassin or Ganga Talao temple, then off to natural stuff with waterfalls and views and end up eating traditional Mauritian food at Palais de Barbizon. Add this one to your bucket list for sure.

Mauritius Travel Guide - Paradise on Earth
Mauritius Travel Guide - Paradise on Earth
Mauritius is a small, multi-cultural island in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar, NorthEast of Reunion and southeast of the Seychelles. Mauritius is rightly famed for its sapphire waters, powder-white beaches and luxury resorts. But there’s so much more attraction to Mauritius than the beach, and it's the kind of place that rewards even the smallest attempts at exploration. There’s hiking in the forested and mountainous interior and world-class diving and snorkelling offshore.
The island of Mauritius was first discovered by Arab sailors, at some time in the 9th century, the exact date is unknown. At that time the island was uninhabited and covered in a dense forest. The Arab sailors were not interested in settling on the island which they named Dina Arobi or Dinarobin. Diogo Fernandes Pereira, a Portuguese sailor found the island in 1505 and decided to give it the name of Cerne. However, the Portuguese did not settle permanently on the island either.
The first to colonise the island were the Dutch. They took possession of the island in 1598. The Dutch settlers landed on a bay in the south-eastern part of the island which was named Warwyck Haven after the commander VanWarwyck, the bay is now known as Grand Port. Although Mauritius doesn't have a huge Chinese population, the Chinese Lunar New Year is still celebrated as an official public holiday with red colours and firecrackers predominating.

Mauritius does not have an official language, but the main language of government is English. As such, all government administrative documents are in the Commonwealth variety of English, which is also used as the prime medium of instruction in public schools. Mauritius has only two seasons, winter and summer. There is not much temperature difference between the two seasons of the year. The climate on the central plateau is cooler than on the coastal areas.
Mauritius is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Mauritius. Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Mauritius.
