India’s Cruelest Jail, ‘Kala Pani, Cellular Jail Port Blair’ | Curly Tales

Kamiya Jani recently visited the Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Pani at Port Blair, Andaman Islands. Now a national memorial, this prison is probably the cruelest in the world. Although it had extremely low walls - which meant that a prisoner could easily scale them, they would ultimately plunge to his death as the prison was surrounded by the ocean on all sides. The prison was also constructed in a way that the front portion of each wing was to face the back side of the other wing so that no prisoner could see one another during confinement. Sounds terrible doesn’t it?

Today, the horrifying prison is a memorial dedicated to the Indian freedom fighters and political activists struggling for India's independence. There is a beautiful Light & Sound show that takes place in the evenings which captures the entire history of Kala Pani. This is a must-visit show for every tourist. It is held thrice a day both in English and Hindi.

[Australia] Lake Illawarra

Lake Illawarra, en Shellharbour.

Shellharbour Pool

Just a quick video review of Shellharbour ocean pool.

G’day the bald critic here again
this time we're at Shell Harbour Ocean pool it's right next to the ocean at Shellharbour Village Shellharbour New South Wales Australia.
Right on the coast of New South Wales just south of Port Kembla Shellharbour pool is a great day for the family.
As you can see also in the background there's a caravan park for your summer holidays, plenty of
areas for fishing there's a kiddies pool as well as the big Olympic sized swimming pool which is salt water.

There's also a small harbour with a park for the kids to play in and a little bit of swimming and also right nearby is the town centre of Shellharbour village itself so if you want to buy supplies for your holiday trip camping trip or just fish and chips Shellharbour's right there and best of all the pool is all free as well

So enjoy

Perrin Air Force Base Museum, Denison, TX

We had a great time visiting the Perrin Air Force Base Museum at the North Texas Regional-Perrin Airport in Denison Texas. Jim Farris, a World War II veteran, was kind enough to give us an informative and interesting tour of this great historical museum. The Perrin Field Historical Society was chartered and registered as a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the history of Perrin Army Airfield and Perrin Air Force Base located in Grayson County Texas. The purpose is to research, record and preserve the history of Perrin Field during thirty years of operating as an active military installation 1941 through 1971. Perrin Air Force Base Historical Museum is located at 436 McCullum Avenue, the first intersection after entering North Texas Regional Airport-Perrin Field from State Highway 691 west on to Grayson Drive. Turn left on McCullum Avenue south. Museum is on the corner of Grayson Drive and McCullum Avenue on your right. No admission fee. However, donations are appreciated.

Mt Kembla Summit Track 2018

A walk up to the summit of Mt Kembla, the tallest mountain on the Illawarra escarpment. Starting point, Mt Kembla look out at the end of Cordeaux Road, Kembla Heights. It took us about 2 hours with stops to do the return 3 km bush walk. There are some steep and challenging bits, but we were able to do it with a four year old and adults of varying fitness levels. Recommend sturdy lace up walking shoes and long pants if you don't want your legs scratched. Take your water bottle , snacks and camera, but please take all your rubbish with you. It was sad to see two water bottles thrown into the bush where they will never degrade, but apart from that the track is rubbish free and full of beautiful native vegetation. You are rewarded with stunning views to the south of Mt Kembla over Lake Illawarra.
