Delftlanden Emmen, bouwgrond en nieuwe huizen (2022)
De Delftlanden is een woonwijk in Emmen, provincie Drenthe (Nederland). De bouw is gestart op 20 mei 2006, nadat eerst de infrastructuur was aangelegd.
De eerste fase van de wijk is gebouwd in het gebied tussen de Nieuw-Amsterdamsestraat, de spoorlijn Emmen-Zwolle, de Rondweg en het Noordbargerbos, op de plek waar onder andere de straat Zandzoom zich bevond: een weg met boerderijen en akkers.
De Delftlanden wordt in drie fasen gebouwd met in totaal 3500 woningen en de eerste fase, Tuindorp, bestaat uit ongeveer 1200 woningen en is onderverdeeld in zes gebiedsdelen: De Tuinen, Delftsebos, De Bosrand, Hart van Delftlanden, Delftse Kwartier en de Terpen.
Het toekomstige winkelcentrum van Delftlanden zal Overdelft heten.
Wanneer de volledige woonwijk Delftlanden voltooid zal zijn is onbekend.
The first passenger service in 48 years for this station? Bentheimer Eisenbahn - Departure -
Well I'm not sure if there were no other special trains that visited the station, but the last passenger service at the station of Laarwald, the last German station before crossing the border to The Netherlands, has been 48 years ago. The last passenger train that crossed that border was 83 years ago.
That is about to change however, as the full line is to be reopened for passenger service in 2025! truly marvelous for those of us living nearby.
For now, the line is still in it's old and only serviced by freight condition, giving this incredible scenic shot of the G2000 pulled special train departing the station as it still is today.
