Welcome to a nice drive through South Hungary, on the national road 6, from Barcs to the main city of Pécs. We are first driving through the Drava Valley, before heading to The Mecsek Mountains, that we are reaching in Pécs. We pass through the town of Szigetvár, with monuments dating back to Ottoman times. Our destination, Pécs, has an extensive historical city core, with many tourist attractions. Enjoy!

Driving Hungary: Route 1 Komarno/Komarom - Györ - 4k scenic drive Danube Valley
We are now in The Danube Valley and drive on the hungarian national road 1, from the border town of Komarno/Komarom to the main city of Györ. We are very close to the river and discover a nice region, with many forrests. Our destination, Györ, is is the most important city of northwest Hungary, the capital of Győr-Moson-Sopron County and Western Transdanubia region, and situated halfway between Budapest and Vienna. Driving Hungary & Austria: Route89 & B56 Szombathely - Lockenhaus - 4k scenic drive Geschriebenstein
It's time now for an interesting drive in the border region between Hungary and Austria. We start in the hungarian town of Szombathely and are crossing the border into Austria after about 15 km. In Austria we cross the nice mountain range of Geschriebenstein, a natural park. The Geschriebenstein , less commonly called the Írott-kő in English sources, is a mountain, 884 metres high, located on the border between Austria and Hungary. It is the highest mountain of the Kőszeg Mountains, the highest point in western Hungary (Transdanubia) and highest point in Burgenland. The road (called also Geschriebenstein Road) passes very close to the main peak of the range, the pass having an altitude of over 800m asl. After a nice steep descent, we end our scenic tour in the historical small town of Lockenhaus, famous for its castle. Enjoy!
