1.Sanaghagara Falls-Sana Ghagara Water Fall is located in the Keonjhar district at a distance of about 08 K.Ms from Keonjhar town on the National Highway No.- 6 towards Sambalpur.The famous Sana Ghagara waterfall with perennial stream adds to the natural beauty of this forest tract and attracts large number of visitors throughout the year. It is located at an average elevation of 1950 ft.The area drains into river Baitarani through Machhakandana Nala.
2.Badaghagra Falls- Badaghagra Falls adjacent to Keonjhar town is a most spectacular waterfall situated amidst in a lush green forest environment. The waterfall enjoys a unique characteristics of 100 feet height inside the dense forest area to the much delight of tourists, picnicors & weekend holidayer alike. Badaghagra reservoir which was raised on Machakandana river during the Kingdom era is the major source of water supplies to the Keonjhar town. The spot is rich in exotic flora & fauna and rare place for study of tribal life. This spot is just 10 km away from Keonjhar town.
3.Khandadhar Falls-all Khandadhar waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls not only of Keonjhar district but also of the state. Speeding water of this holly river Khandadhar Spring is falling straight down to the earth at a distance of around 500 feet height. Due to the vertical falling of water this water fall is known as Khandadhar. Crystal water of spring falls on an uneven stone floor which ultimately produces a roaring sound leading to a smoky scenario around the area. Its stunning natural environment encircled with mountain range at three directions mesmerizes visitors coming from all around of the state & abroad. The natural environment of this area is also the ideal place for rich flora and fauna which are abundantly available here. This spot is at a distance of 50 km from Keonjhar town.
4.Jagannath Temple-Baladevjew Temple was established in the year 1671. This temple was built by Raja Laxminarayan Bhanja . The height of the temple is 135 feet.The main idol of this temple is Lord Balaram the 8th Avtar of Vishnu. He was the elder brother of Lord Krishna in Dwapar Yug.In the Cart-Festival of Keonjhar Baladevjew Temple is now the main attraction because of the height of the Cart. Previously the height of the cart was 60 feet but now it's 72 feet, which is the tallest cart in the world.
5.Maa Tarini Temple-It is a place of famous pilgrimage centre of Odisha. Maa Tarini Temple is raised in modern time, the crude form of deity justify its pristine origin. The legend is that Maa Tarini is merciful and benevolent to her devotees. Nearest forest reserves adding beauty to the Maa Tarini Pitha is the nestling site of different wildlifes. Devotees are very fondly offers coconut to Goddess is still worshiped by tribal priests. Local people observes Maha Bisuba Sankranti during the month of Chaitra Purnima with great forever & pomp. Maa Tarini Pitha is just 45 km away from Keonjhar town.
6.Gundichaghagi Falls-Gundichaghagi waterfall is located amidst spectacular natural environment with lush green forest. A cascade of waterfalls on the river Musala falls at a distance of 50 feet below the river surface makes the area virtually smokey & attractive with roaring sound. It was a small ride to Jateswar Shiva temple at Soyabali, near Badbil, Keonjhar, Odisha with few friends. It's located about 8-10 kms form Badbil town.The place is surrounded by greenery and has a very scenic path, scattered with small and large stones leading upto the temple. Just a walk to the temple can be so rejuvenating.

Glimpses of Keonjhar|Top 10 spots of Kendujhar |Vlog :7| Best places to visit in Keonjhar, Odisha |
We undertook a short tour of Keonjhar/ Kendujhar in October 2021. It was a 3 nights and 4 days trip from 16.10.21 to 19.10.21. Our stay for the entire trip was in Sanaghagra nature camp/ Sanaghagra eco tourism complex. Surrounded with hills, covered with Sal forest right on Mumbai Kolkata Highway this nature camp offered us a serene and peaceful stay.
We explored quite a lot of spots on the 4 days of our trip namely
1. Keonjhar view point - Spot right on Kolkata Mumbai highway, you can view the entire Keonjhar town.
2. Kings old palace- Though the palace gates were closed we enjoyed the raas mancha, matiapokhri.
3. Baldevjew Temple- A magnificient temple in the town where Shri Jagannath, Baldev and Subhadra Devi are worshipped.
4. Kanjhari dam- Beautiful dam , 27 kms from town situated amidst forest
5. Gundichaghagi waterfall- Situated at a distance of 60kms this waterfall was memerising to say the last. Spread over a huge area we enjoyed to the fullest in the rain
6. Bhimkund gorge- River Baitarani cascading down hilly terrain creating this beautifula falls
7. Sitabinji caves and frescoes- Mata Sita used to stay here with her two sons , in Rishi Valmiki's ashram
8. Sanaghagra Waterfall and park : Located only a km from sanaghagra nature camp and about 8 kms from Keonjhar town this waterfalls is created by river machakandana while flowing down a hilly terrain. The falls is amazing . The park within which the falls is located is spread over 488 hectares. A huge complex with deciduous trees , green vegetation and Lord Shiva statue within the complex makes it a must visit place in Keonjhar.
9. Badaghagra waterfall and reservoir- River machakandana creates this beautiful waterfall
10. Suleipat dam, Bisoi, Mayurbhanj - The last spot of our Keonjhar tour was Suleipat dam, Located in Bisoi betweem Bhitaramda and Karajharan hills this is a must visit place. The beauty of the place with hills , greenery all around is unparalleled. Thus ended our tour with return to Kharagpur at 7 p.m. Hope you liked our series. Do comment and let us know.
