Our journey to Malmesbury on the busy N7 was slowed by roadworks which have been going on for years, but we were happy see the impressive new mall at the town's entrance. True to form, Malmesbury was bustling with activity, a vibrant energy that we always notice whenever we visit. Despite our short time in the town, we were captivated by the town's rich history and fascinating architecture, which never fail to intrigue us. Katberg & Passes - Eastern Cape
On the morning of 4 Nov '23 i left Kirkwood from the farm at 05:15 and headed to Katberg Pass via the following places, Enon settlement, Paterson town, over Olifantskop Pass that is tar road till the Alicedale N10 turn off on dirt road. From there i head to Kommadagga Station for a coffee and rusk then over the Great Fishriver to Bedford town for fuel.
The next town on route is Adelaide for meat too braai luch, left for Bosnek Pass, Post Retief and then up Dewaalskloof Pass and start at the top of Katberg Pass going down to Balfour. From there over the Buxton river and the toad comes out halfway between Blinkwater Pass, head to Fort Fordyce for a afternoon coffee. Diwn Fuller's Hoek Pass too Blinkwater left on the tar road to Seymour right trough town over Katriver Dam direction Pefferskop Pass when rain spoiled the video footage. I came out on other side of Alice town and arrived at Fort-Beaufort 12 hours later at 17:10.

So much negativity circulates in social media, I know crime is something to talk about like any other bigger nation, crime does happen.
But it doesn't mean people can't do their daily work or enjoy as much as wanted.
I venture into streets trying to prove that.
So today I will also go to some streets perceived dangerous or not safe.

Less than 100kms from Durban, our resort is 90 metres from miles of unspoilt beach, and is on the banks of the Ifafa Lagoon. Whilst remaining very country and beautiful, we have every facility needed for a perfect holiday. Our ablution blocks are spotless and modern, and there are laundry facilities at each one. There are 8 private ablutions stands. Our sites are large and are mainly shaded. Every camping site has an electricity supply of 10 amps.
We have two beautiful swimming pools, one of which is heated in the cooler months enabling swimming throughout the year. There is well stocked shop and bottle store, with a takeaway during long weekends and season.
During season we have a very full entertainment programme, but even out of season, there is plenty to do. Our tradition of morning tea and scones is the start of many wonderful friendships and of course we have our famous bring and braai and pancakes on one of the week nights each week out of season. For the children there are trampolines, a jungle gym, huge hall, tv room, the Bazley Trails, canoeing on the lagoon, the list is endless. We believe that camping holidays brings families closer together.
There are eight luxury log cabins, with stunning views of the lagoon and sea.
For those of you not wanting to caravan or tent, but still wanting the fun of the resort, this is a really good option.
We have been awarded 4 star status, and we strive to live up to this honour. Our best is when we are told by our patrons that they had a 5 star holiday with us.

Driving on Corlett Drive in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In this video I drive from the west side of Corlett Drive (where it meets Oxford Road in Illovo) and head east to where it meets Louis Both Avenue in Kew.
I filmed it at 3pm on an overcast day (29 December 2022) with a light drizzle of rain that I hoped wouldn't get onto the lens of the camera.
