Discover Portugal's Secret Paradise: the Silver Coast, Nazare and Peniche.
The Silver Coast is a region located in the central part of Portugal, stretching along the Atlantic Ocean. The region is known for its stunning coastline, with white sandy beaches, rocky cliffs, and picturesque fishing villages. The two major attractions on the Atlantic coast are Nazare and Peniche, world surfing class resorts, and we will see what they have to offer in this video.
Nazaré and Peniche are both located on the Atlantic coast and offer visitors stunning beaches, great surfing, and a rich cultural history.
Nazare is a charming fishing village that has become famous for its massive waves, which are some of the largest in the world. Visitors can watch surfers tackle the waves from the Praia do Norte viewpoint or take a stroll along the town's beautiful waterfront promenade, which is filled with excellent restaurants and cafes.

La côté Ouest du Portugal, de Cascais à Peniche, avec une surprise en prime ! (N°20)
Salut les copains,
Alors au programme de cette vidéo on rejoint la côte !
1ère étape, Cascais, belle ville côtière. Pour le parking, on s’est garé sur un parking lambda sans service près de la côte. (Sur Park4night : 30163 – Cascais, 1407 Avenida Rei Humberto II de Italia)
Ensuite direction, Cabo da Roca pour marquer le coup car c’est le point le plus à l’ouest du continent Européen !
Puis go to Peniche, plus précisément à Praia Baléal, et son méga parking sans service à 100m de la plage et sachant qu’il y a un parking avec services gratuit de l’autre côté de la ville nikel (Sur Park4night : 85378 – Ferrel, 21 Avenida da Praia et celui pour les services : 216316 – Atouguia da Baleia, 19 Rua Moderna)
Et notre petite parc surprise Buddha Eden Garden ( Quinta dos Loridos, 2540-420, Portugal ) pour seulement 5 € l’entrée, que l’on a payé sur place et il y a une bonne après-midi de balade tranquille !

Alcoutim Old Castle
Alcoutim Old Castle is a defensive structure from the Islamic period, built between the 8th and 9th centuries. Having been abandoned in the 11th / 12th century.
It is located 1 km north of the village of Alcoutim, in an area overlooking the Guadiana river, on the Santa Bárbara hill. The castle, which would have the function of a military fort, has the configuration of a fortified rural palace. This small residential fortress is occupied by a Muslim family group, perhaps from the Berber tribe of the Kutama. The citadel area has an Umayyad mosque, unique in Portugal. Built in the 10th century.
Excavations carried out since 1985 have revealed several archaeological materials, which can be seen in the Archeology Center. The analysis of food residues revealed an urban-type diet, with ample meat consumption. The collection of game-related artifacts and drum fragments point to a special taste for leisure activities.
They also controlled the commercial traffic of the Guadiana and had control over the exploitation of local economic resources, namely mining.
Glazed and decorated pieces were found, which lead to consider that the inhabitants had a certain economic relief.
It is classified as a Property of Public Interest by Decree of December 31, 1997.
Castelo Velho de Alcoutim
O Castelo Velho de Alcoutim é uma estrutura defensiva do período islâmico, edificada entre os séculos VIII e IX. Tendo sido abandonada no século XI/XII.
Localiza-se a 1 km para norte da vila de Alcoutim, numa zona sobranceira ao rio Guadiana, no cerro de Santa Bárbara. O castelo, que teria a função de um fortim militar, tem a configuração de um palácio fortificado rural. Este pequeno alcácer residencial ocupado por um grupo familiar de um muçulmano, talvez da tribo berbere dos Kutama. A zona da alcáçova possui uma mesquita Omíada, única em Portugal. Construída no século X.
As escavações efetuadas, desde 1985, revelaram diversos materiais arqueológicos, que podem ser vistos no Núcleo de Arqueologia. A análise dos restos alimentares revelou uma dieta de tipo urbano, com amplo consumo de carne. A recolha dos artefactos relacionados com jogos e os fragmentos de tambores apontam para um gosto especial pelas atividades de lazer.
Também controlavam o tráfego mercantil do Guadiana e teriam o domínio sobre a exploração dos recursos económicos locais, designadamente sobre a exploração mineira.
Foram encontradas peças vidradas e decoradas, que levam a considerar que os habitantes tinham um certo desafogo económico.
Encontra-se classificado como Imóvel de Interesse Público pelo Decreto de 31 de Dezembro de 1997.
