This is the video of event for EGBORO DAY 2010 set in Ijebu-Jesa, headquarters of Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State for the launching of a N500million Endowment Fund as indigenes of the agrarian community at home and in the Diaspora celebrate this year's Egboro Day on Saturday, November 6, 2010.
The Chairman, Defence Committee of the House of Representatives, Hon. Oluwole Oke was the Chief Launcher at the fund-raising socio-cultural festival, according to a press release signed by the Chairman of the anniversary Planning Committee, Chief Yemi Olukiran.
The Special Guest of Honour was the Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Rotimi Agunsoye. While an Ibadan-based business magnate and chief executive of Sunshine Oil and Chemicals Development Company Limited, Bashorun Rotimi Obeisun presided at the occasion.
Meanwhile, Ijebu-Jesa has been agog since the traditional ruler of the town, the Elegboro, Oba Taiwo Aribisala Ajigiteri, formally flagged off the week-long activities marking the celebration with his royal blessing and traditional prayer for socio-economic advancement of the entire citizenry.
