Laguna La Bruja - Calderitas, San Vicente, El Salvador
Laguna La Bruja is a short distance away from the more famous Laguna de Apastepeque but receives significantly less visitors. A 30 minute hike from Calderitas, it is a great spot for swimming, fishing, and cliff jumping. It is recommended that you go with a guide from the local community. This video gives a highlight reel of a camping trip my and some friends did there recently.

Laguna La Bruja queda bien cerca a la Laguna de Apastepeque, pero pocos la conocen. Hay que ir caminando por 30 minutos desde Calderitas, pero al llegar se encuentra un paraíso tropical ideal para nadar y pescar. Está recomendado que vayas con alguien de la comunidad que te pueda enseñar el camino. Este video muestra un viaje que yo y algunos amigos hicimos hace poco.

In this episode of El Salvador Unplugged, DBH heads to the beautiful Lake Coatepeque area, where David and crew check out the amazing landscape, beautiful views and laid back atmosphere of this local vacation spot. Initially a crater formed over 40,000 years ago from a massive volcanic eruption, Coatepeque has long since become the inhabited lake area that it is today. Check out all the residential houses, serpentine shoreline (where the lake gets its name) and giant volcanoes that form the horizon and surroundings of this beautiful area. When visiting, enjoy not only the water and the views, but also try some of the amazing lakeside food at Las Palmeras Restaurant, certain to serve you up a delicious spread. With a great meal, refreshing beer and unbeatable surroundings, Lake Coatepeque is the perfect area to wind down during your tour through the country.

This video is about hiking a volcano in San Salvador in El Salvador. This was our first trip to El Salvador and this was a great experience. I highly recommend El Salvador travel. This was another trip during the current situation in 2021. If you are thinking about hiking a volcano in El Salvador, this is a good one to try, as it wasn't too much of a hike. Not as bad as our volcano that we hiked in Guatemala.
Don't let people talk you out of travel to El Salvador. We felt safe the entire time there.
