This province lies in the western areas of Iran. Mount Alvand with a height of 3574 meters above the sea level is located to the south and southwest of Hamadān City.
The altitude of this province and its location at the foothills of the Zagros and Alvand mountains results in heavy rain and snowfall. This has caused many water springs to flow through this land. Gāmāsiābis the largest river of this province; it runs into KārūnRiver.
These features have made this land rich in lawns and have made it an ideal place for nomad life and cattle breeding. Therefore the economy in this province is primarily based on farming and husbandry, then on mining activities. People of Hamedan are from different races and speak Persian, Azari, Luri and Kurdish. These people are famous for their artistic taste. Common handicrafts in this province include pottery, carpet weaving, shoe making and tannery.
Hamadān is the connecting joint between eastern and western main roads of Iran. The oldest objects of ancient Iranian civilizations have been discovered in this land. Professor Ghirshman, a famous French archaeologist has, in his studies proved that civilization of Hamedan dates back to 37 centuries BC.

دره سوسانه، بهشت گمشده‌ای در نزدیکی همدان، بین روستای دره مرادبیگ و سیلوار واقع شده است. این دره بکر و خلوت، با رودخانه‌ای خروشان و طبیعتی سرسبز، مکانی ایده‌آل برای طبیعت‌گردان و عاشقان آرامش است.
مسیر دسترسی به دره سوسانه از سه راه کندوخانه آغاز میشود. از این نقطه، حدود 10 دقیقه پیاده‌روی تا ابتدای دره و 30 دقیقه تا انتهای آن طول می‌کشد. عبور از باغ شخصی در انتهای مسیر الزامی است.

This area is considered one of Hamedan's must-see places for sightseeing and entertainment, with various attractions such as Ganjnameh waterfall, historical inscriptions from the Achaemenid period, cable cars, Mishan plain at the foot of Alvand peak, rail sled, bungee jumping, aquarium cave and amusement park. In the winter season, Ganjnameh waterfall freezes completely and creates a beautiful view. Also, Mishan plain on the slopes of Alvand mountain is completely covered with snow.

Hamedan is believed to be among the oldest Iranian cities. It is possible that it was occupied by the Assyrians in 1100 BCE; the Ancient Greek historian, Herodotus, states that it was the capital of the Medes, around 700 BCE.

با این حال قدیمی‌ترین آثار یافت‌شده از محوطهٔ باستانی هگمتانه و نیز کتیبه‌های گنجنامه مربوط به دوران هخامنشیان هستند. همچنین این شهر در روزگار هخامنشیان، اشکانیان، ساسانیان، آل بویه و سلجوقیان نیز یکی از پایتخت‌های کشور بوده‌است. هم‌اکنون استان همدان به دلیل داشتن مراکز تاریخی و دیدنی به عنوان پنجمین شهر فرهنگی و توریستی کشور شناخته میشود و از نظر علمی نیز با وجود مراکز دانشگاه بوعلی سینا، دانشگاه صنعتی همدان، دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی همدان، دانشگاه پیام نور همدان و مراکز دیگر، به عنوان یکی از قطب‌های دانشگاهی کشور شناخته شده‌است.
آرامگاه بوعلی سینا نماد شهر همدان و همچنین یکی از نمادهای پیشینهٔ ایران در فرهنگ جهان و دانش و علم به‌شمار می‌رود.

In this video, I talk about Ganjnameh inscriptions which are located 12 km southwest of Hamadan (my hometown) in western Iran. This site is home to two trilingual Achaemenid cuneiform inscriptions. The inscription on the upper left was created by the order of Achaemenid King Darius the Great (522–486 BC) and the one on the right by his son King Xerxes the Great (486–465 BC). I also describe Ganjnameh waterfall as well as the Imperial Road.

Moradbeg Valley or Moradbeek Valley is the largest valley of Alvand Mountain and is located in the south of Hamedan. This valley, unlike other Alvand valleys such as Maushanrood valley (also known as Imamzadeh Kuh valley) and Ganjnameh valley, which were located along the ancient roads, is located in a closed area and there was very little traffic in it. The only communication route is Malroui road at the end of the valley, which is possible to communicate with the village behind the mountain (west edge of Alvand) through Cheshmeh Farsheh valley in dry seasons. Remains of an old village in the west of the valley can be seen one or two kilometers from the village of Darreh Moradbeig.
It is composed of melting snow and water of many springs in this valley of Al-Wasjerd river.
From the famous places of Moradbeg valley, we can go to Gorg valley, Ghoul valley, Haj Ahmad valley (Hajmad), Lizheh, Churchrab, Goshtkhal valley, Silvar castle, Qazoleh valley, shower head, ruined bath, Mahmoud valley, Qarq, hive house, source, Pir Rahman And pointed to the Valley of Paradise.
Darreh Moradbeig village is one of the most beautiful villages in Hamedan. Yellow Flower Valley is also one of its beautiful valleys.
دره مرادبیگ یا دره مرادبیک بزرگ‌ترین درهٔ کوهستان الوند است و در جنوب شهر همدان قرار دارد. این دره برخلاف سایر دره‌های الوند مانند دره ماوشان‌رود (نام دیگر دره امامزاده کوه) و دره گنجنامه که در مسیر راه‌های باستانی قرار داشتند، در منطقهٔ بسته‌ای قرار دارد و آمدوشد در آن بسیار اندک بوده‌است. تنها راه ارتباطی راه مالروی انتهای دره است که از طریق درهٔ چشمه فرشه در فصول خشک سال با روستای پشت کوه (یال غربی الوند) امکان مراوده دارد. آثار یک روستای قدیمی در غرب این دره، در یکی دو کیلومتری روستای دره مرادبیگ به چشم می‌خورد.
از آب شدن برف‌ها و آب چشمه‌های فراوان در این دره رود الوسجرد تشکیل شده‌است.
از مکان‌های معروف دره مرادبیگ می‌توان به دره گرگ، دره غول، دره حاج احمد (حاجمد)، لیژه، چرچرآب، گوشتخل دره، قلعه سیلوار، قزوله دره، سر دوش، حمام خرابه، محمود دره، قرق، کندو خانه، منبع، پیررحمان و دره بهشت اشاره کرد.
روستای دره مرادبیگ یکی از زیباترین روستاهای همدان است. درهٔ گل زرد هم از دره‌های زیبای آن است.
