Abandoned by their creators these ancient temples and pyramids are a stunning reminder of a powerful civilization that once ruled the people of Central America. Although the accomplishments of the ancient Mayans are astonishing, no city would escape the inevitable collapse. One by one they were swallowed by the rainforest leaving the amazing Mayan ruins hidden, waiting to be discovered.

► WHO AM I?
I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!
P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he's actually camera-shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time ????

COSTA MAYA'S BEST CRUISE EXCURSION - Chacchoben Mayan Ruins & 7 Colors Lagoon in Bacalar
This was our first time taking a cruise excursion through a local company, and it was INCREDIBLE! We ended up on a private tour eating fresh pineapple from a local stand, stepping through history at Chacchoben, and basking in the natural beauty of the 7 Colors Lagoon (while enjoying some cervesas!) It was the perfect day escaping the crowds of tourists and overly commercial tours for what felt like an authentic local experience! I have no doubt that this is the best excursion for getting a full taste of Costa Maya & Mahahual and our guide & driver Octavio & Moses were excellent!

A Celebration of Life: El Dia de los Muertos
Beneath our differences, we are all the same — or as famed Mexican printmaker and creator of the symbolic La Catrina, José Guadalupe Posada, once said, Todos somos calaveras — we are all skeletons.
Join Beautiful Destinations creators Cory Martin and Arman Mitchell as they explore the city of Oaxaca, Mexico during Dia de los Muertos, a three-day celebration dedicated to remembering the lives of those who've passed and to support them on their spiritual journey; it's a time to celebrate life, not mourn the loss of it.
