Top 10 places to visit in California USA
California, which lies in the southwest corner of the country, is the state that most people think of when they think of vacations, beaches, and parks. The Golden State, which faces the Pacific and borders Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada, has long charmed travelers from all over the world. Today we will be looking at Top 10 places to visit in California USA. Before we begin, please like and subscribe to our channel.
A common stop on many West Coast vacation itineraries is this natural wonder. South of Yosemite National Park in eastern California, Sequoia National Park is situated close to the Sierra Nevada. The huge sequoias that dominate both the park's forest and the surrounding area, as the name would imply, are the main draw for tourists to this natural area.
You cannot help but notice the General Sherman Tree, the most famous sequoia, which is 2,700 years old, 272 feet tall, and has a circumference of 102 feet, as you stroll among these magnificent trees. There are many more attractions in this park and the nearby Kings Canyon besides the sequoias.
#sandiego appears to be able to compete with San Francisco's allure despite there being numerous cities in California. With a view of the coast and a favorable geographic setting that ensures a great climate (the best in the state), San Diego is home to a variety of attractions, including SeaWorld, Legoland, the renowned San Diego Zoo, museums in Balboa Park, a vibrant downtown, lovely beaches, secret coves, picturesque neighborhoods, and historic sites.
#california is only second to Florida in terms of amusement parks. It's always a good idea to visit Disneyland, the original Disney theme park, whether you're traveling with kids or not. The park is separated into two sections: Disneyland Park, which is the more classic and well-known portion and was built by Walt Disney; and Disney's California Adventure, which is devoted to the natural beauty of California and has attractions that will make you jump for joy.
#california #californiagarden
You can choose to go to both parts of Disneyland or just one. In either case, this park offers a ton of activities, so plan to stay there for a while.

Top 10 National Parks!
UPDATE: We now have been to Alaska and visited 2 national parks (Kenai Fjords and Denali). Where would they fall on the list? Kenai is amazing and you can see lots of ocean life on a clear day (our day was rainy on the ferry) as well as a couple of tidewater glaciers. A great experience and it would probably fall somewhere near the end of our list (maybe #7 or 8), due to cost and limited accessibility to park features. Denali would also be near the bottom of the list (maybe #9), though it has amazing wilderness and we saw 2 bull moose fighting, it takes a really long time to get to it, has one main road that eventually requires riding a long bus tour, and the main attraction (mount Denali) is only visible 30% of the time (we never saw it). Having said all of this, if they ever turn Prince William Sound into a national park, that would be near the top of our list. It was me and my wife's favorite part of the Alaska trip: Lots of glaciers, lots of wildlife, lots of pristine forest and islands, just beautiful...
...This list covers the Western USA and features photos in 4k. Please feel free to ask us any questions you have about the parks. If you have trouble viewing the video try using a computer or tablet instead of a mobile phone. Hopefully Youtube will fix the issue soon. :)
Update: Yellowstone lake is not the highest fresh water lake in the USA, it's the largest lake at high elevation in the USA (over 7000 ft.). I knew better, but rushed the script and voice over, so it made it into the video (oops).
Cameras used: Panasonic GH4, GF6, Canon T2i, Point-and-shoots, GoPro 4 Silver, Samsung and Apple phones.

The ULTIMATE Sequoia National Park Travel Guide
Welcome to the 2024 Sequoia National Park Ultimate Travel Guide. In this video, I discuss how to get to the park, how to get around, where to stay (lodging and camping), where to eat, where to get coffee (at home!), and importantly, the attractions of the Park.
Visiting Sequoia National Park will make your neck hurt! These trees are huge and you will be looking UP, a lot! Highlighting any visit to Sequoia is the Giant Forest to see the largest (by volume) tree in the world, General Sherman. The size of these trees is overwhelming and awe-inspiring. But even though the Park is about the trees (it is named after a tree, for goodness sake), a visit is more than just forests and wood. Don't forget about Moro Rock for wonderful views of the area, Crystal Cave (you do need reservations!) and the tallest mountain in the lower 48 states, Mt. Whitney.

Sequoia National Park is renowned worldwide for its majestic sequoia trees, which are the largest living organisms on Earth. The park is home to the General Sherman Tree, the largest tree by volume, standing at an awe-inspiring 275 feet tall. Walking among these ancient giants is an experience that leaves visitors in awe of nature's grandeur.
Beyond the iconic sequoias, the park boasts breathtaking mountain landscapes that captivate visitors at every turn. Towering granite peaks, deep canyons, and cascading waterfalls create a scenic backdrop that's perfect for hiking, photography, and simply immersing oneself in the beauty of the natural world.
The park offers an extensive network of trails, catering to hikers of all skill levels. Whether you're seeking a leisurely stroll through a grove of sequoias or a challenging ascent to a mountain summit, there's a trail for everyone. The Lakes Trail, for example, showcases stunning alpine lakes, while the Mount Whitney Trail presents a thrilling opportunity to summit the highest peak in the contiguous United States.
Sequoia National Park also provides a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. The park is home to diverse animal species, including black bears, mule deer, mountain lions, and coyotes. Birdwatchers will be delighted to spot the rare and endangered California condor soaring through the skies. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound, offering a chance to witness these remarkable creatures in their natural habitat.
Additionally, the park offers a range of outdoor activities beyond hiking. Camping is a popular option, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the park's serene ambiance. Fishing, rock climbing, horseback riding, and snowshoeing (during the winter months) are among the many other activities available to visitors.
Sequoia National Park also boasts fascinating geological features. Crystal Cave, a subterranean wonder, showcases stunning rock formations and offers guided tours to educate visitors about the park's geology. Moro Rock, a granite dome, provides panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Practical amenities, including visitor centers, campgrounds, and dining options, make exploring the park convenient and accessible. However, it's important to note that services may be limited in remote areas, so visitors should come prepared with their own supplies.

The Sierra Nevada Mountains are located in eastern California and are part of the Rocky Mountains. The range runs 400 miles north-to-south and is 70 miles wide. The mountains are home to Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park, and Kings Canyon National Park. These parks are some of the most popular tourist destinations in California.
The mountains were created by the tectonic plates moving and colliding over millions of years. The mountains are made up of granite, making them some of North America's oldest rocks. The granite is resistant to weathering, which is why the mountains have been able to stay tall for so long.
The Sierra Nevada Mountains are a popular destination for hikers, climbers, and skiers. There are over 1,500 miles of hiking trails in the mountain range. Yosemite National Park has some of the most popular trails, including the Half Dome Trail and the John Muir Trail. The John Muir Trail goes for 211 miles from Yosemite Valley to Mount Whitney, the tallest peak in the contiguous United States.
It is a popular destination for climbers. There are over 1,000 climbing routes in the range. Some of the most popular climbs are Half Dome in Yosemite National Park and El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. Both climbs involve scrambling up a steep cliff using ropes and other climbing gear.
The Sierra Nevada Mountains are also a popular destination for skiers. There are over 2,000 miles of ski trails in the mountain range. The most popular ski resorts are located in Lake Tahoe, which is on the border of California and Nevada.

Some of the best things to do within Sequoia National Park include going out on the waters of Hume Lake, hiking the High Sierra Trail, climbing Moro Rock, and driving through Tunnel Log. Hume Lake is a beautiful body of water located within the national park that visitors can swim and paddleboard in. Moro Rock exists within the network of hiking trails known as the Giant Forest, and it’s a gigantic granite formation that resembles a dome. Visitors can climb all the way to the formation’s summit via stone steps.
Finally, Tunnel Log is a tunnel that just so happens to have been carved through a fallen sequoia tree. Sequoia National Park is named after its giant sequoias, and one of them is even considered to be the largest tree in the world!
