Albert Lea, MN sit on the shores of Fountain Lake, Pickerel Lake, Albert Lea Lake, Goose Lake, School Lake, and Lake Chapeau. The city is named after Albert Miller Lea, a topographer with the United States Dragoons, who surveyed southern Minnesota and northern Iowa in 1835, including the current site of Albert Lea. Albert Lea is the hometown of actress Marion Ross. During the walk you see a great statue that depicts Marion similar to the way she looked playing Mrs. Cunningham (Mrs. C) on the TV series Happy Days from 1974 to 1984. Albert Lea sits along the famous Jefferson Highway – The Palms to Pine Highway.

▶︎ Great Stop Over
We got there right after a major thunderstorm that took out a lot of trees so the place looked ragged but it was a nice place.
The Internet was good. It was a typical KOA and everything was kept up and clean.
They did have a $1 Sunday when we got there which was fun Ice Cream and topping for $1. Then that night they had movies which was nice. A great pool and play area for the kids.
Since we drove through the horrible storm we really did not want to get out and explore the area any more so even though it seemed to be great place to stay I don't know what is around the area.
I do know the people were friendly and nice and even after a major storm like that they were cleaning up and getting everything back to normal.
We will be coming back here as we cross MN again.

Cannot travel long distance lately so been driving and taking pictures and videos of local surrounding. This is some clips from Albert Lea MN, Kiester MN, Blue Earth MN, Fairmont MN, Minneopa Falls MN and other places in between taken last year and this year.
Northbridge Mall (Albert Lea, MN) - 1980s dead mall
When you think about dead malls worth visiting, this belongs on the list! Northbridge Mall screams vintage 1987 with its gaudy mirrored ceilings, lights, and stained carpeting. If passing through southern Minnesota, it's easy to visit, located right off of I-90 and I-35 in Albert Lea. Even though the mall is located on Bridge Ave, I believe its name is meant to complement the slightly older Southbridge Mall mall in Mason City, IA. (If it was named after the street, it would be Eastbridge Mall.)
Come learn about this once thriving mall that plays 1970s country music on repeat.
