Musayyib (Arabic: المسيب) is an increasing majority Shia Arab town in the Babil Province, Iraq. As of 2018, its population was 57,300. Musayyib sits on both the east and west banks of the Euphrates River, which splits into the Hindiya and Hilla branches just south of the city. Musayyib's municipal government has heavy representation from the Office of the Martyr Sadr, the political wing of Moqtada Sadr's Militia. There is a small minority representation by the Badr Corps as well.

Muhammad ibn Muslim and Ibraheem ibn Muslim were the sons of Muslim ibn Aqeel and the grandsons of Aqeel ibn Abu Talib. Muslim ibn Aqeel was the messenger of Husayn ibn Ali to the people of Kufa, while Aqeel ibn Abu Talib was the brother of Ali ibn Abu Talib and the cousin of Muhammad. These children are also included among the martyrs of the Battle of Karbala.

Mom driving in downtown Baghdad, Iraq, May, 1973
After our friends found out that my Mother was driving almost every day, they told us that we should know that women weren't allowed to drive a car in Iraq and we could get into trouble. But because we didn't know anything about this at first, therefore my Mother drove. Mom never had any problem with this, in fact the local men were amazed by this brave European woman. Its seems though that actually there wasn't a ban on women driving a car in Iraq, so this must have been a misunderstanding of the situation by those people who told us that. Possibly they mixed up Iraq with another country with stricter rules.
My parents bought the Volkswagen in Kuwait in April 1973, and when they sold it in December 1973, it had a little more than 40000 kilometers in its clock. Most of those kilometers were put in by Mom, since she had to drive a lot to my Dad's workplace in Musayyib...

Arbaeen 2018 Zareeh of Hazrat Muslim Bin Aqeel (A.S) And Roza e Hazrat Hurr (A.S)
Muslim ibn Aqil Al-Hashimi (Arabic: مسلم بن عقيل الهاشمي) was the son of Aqeel ibn Abi Talib and a member of the clan of Bani Hashim, thus, he is a cousin of Hussain (A.S) ibn Ali (A.S). The people of Kufa called upon Husayn to overthrow the Umayyad dynasty who was on his way to Mecca for the Hajj pilgrimage. He wanted to confirm the loyalty of the people of Kufa, so he sent his cousin and his ambassador, Muslim ibn Aqeel, a famous warrior, to Kufa to observe the situation. He sent a letter to IMAM Hussain (A.S) confirming their loyalty, before knowing that the 30,000 followers that he gained would all betray him. He was executed by the newly installed governor, Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad, on the 20th of Rabi Ul Awal, 60 AH, and is buried at the back of Great Mosque of Kufa.
