Implementaciju inicijative 𝗡𝗮𝗷𝗹𝗷𝗲𝗽𝘀̌𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝗻𝗲 𝗶 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗲 podržava Vlada Sjedinjenih Američkih Država putem USAID-ovog Projekta razvoja održivog turizma u Bosni i Hercegovini (Turizam), a vodi je lokalni partner Udruženje za razvoj ruralnog turizma u BiH 𝐴𝑙𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑢𝑟𝑎𝑙.

Svečana ceremonija proglašenja izabranih sela i dodjele certifikata upriličena je danas u prostorijama Vanjskotrgovinske komore BiH u Sarajevu.
🎯Inicijativa 𝗡𝗮𝗷𝗹𝗷𝗲𝗽𝘀̌𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗮, koju je izvorno pokrenulo udruženje 𝐿𝑒𝑠 𝑃𝑙𝑢𝑠 𝐵𝑒𝑎𝑢𝑥 𝑣𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑒𝑠 𝑑𝑒 𝐹𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒 (𝐿𝑃𝐵𝑉) iz Francuske, implementira se u Bosni Hercegovini s ciljem popularizacije ruralnih naselja kroz očuvanje njihovog nasljeđa i promoviranje ekonomskog potencijala.

❗️📢USAID Mission Director Courtney Chubb declared 14 villages that were crowned as the 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝘇𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗮!
The implementation of the 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝘇𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗮 initiative is supported by the Government of the United States of America through USAID’s Developing Sustainable Tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Turizam) project, and led by the local partner Association for the Development of Rural Tourism in BiH 𝐴𝑙𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑢𝑟𝑎𝑙.
📌The 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝘇𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗮 were selected with the help of an expert jury composed of eight experts in the fields of architecture, heritage and rural development. The official ceremony of announcing the selected villages and awarding certificates was held today in the premises of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.
🎯The 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 initiative, which was originally launched by the association 𝐿𝑒𝑠 𝑃𝑙𝑢𝑠 𝐵𝑒𝑎𝑢𝑥 𝑣𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑒𝑠 𝑑𝑒 𝐹𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒 (𝐿𝑃𝐵𝑉) from France, is being implemented in Bosnia Herzegovina with the aim of popularizing rural settlements by preserving their heritage and promoting their economic potential.
Together, we support the development of rural areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina and their direction on the path of sustainable tourism!

If you happen to be in the northeastern Bosnia & Herzegovina, somewhere around the city of Tuzla, and if you are in search of an authentic Bosnian village that tells the historical saga of this region, you shouldn’t miss “Etno avlija Mačkovac”. It is a charming open-air museum that preserves a valuable collection of antique & traditional artefacts .

A sort of time-machine with numerous restored traditional buildings, it shows how the architecture, and life in general, looked like in the 19th and 20th century in this part of the Balkans. And if you are a nature admirer, whenever you come, you will not resist the landscapes with untouched nature of Mt. Konjuh.
Following the winding road from the direction of Banovići towards the Mt. Konjuh, you will quickly reach Etno avlija Mačkovac. After only 5 km of driving through the dense forest, along the Okova River, and while enjoying the splendid view of the Mt. Konjuh, you will find a small museum under the open sky. When you step into Etno avlija, you will have the feeling that you went back in the past at least one hundred years ago. In a typical Bosnian ambience, you will see old Bosnian houses, watermills, workshops and other buildings looking as they looked like long ago. Thousands of authentic objects that were used in the ancient households contribute to the atmosphere.

My cute little hotel in Sarajevo. Its about a 10 min walk from old town but it was affordable, clean, quiet, and had plenty of restaurants and grocery stores around.
