Tylösand is definitely the best beach in Sweden! I am so happy I finally got to experience the beauty of Tylösand! The fine sand, awesome waves and warm sea... real piece of heaven! Tylösand is located on the south-west coast of Sweden in Halmstad Country, part of @regionhalland.
SKÅNELEDEN SWEDEN - An 8 Day Trek (Ep. 4)
The Skåneleden in Sweden's southern region of Skåne is made up of over 1,300 kilometres of trails. I decided to do a spontaneous 8-day trek across part of the SL1 Section from Örkelljunga to Båstad before traversing around the Bjäre Peninsula and finishing in Ängelholm. All this while celebrating my 31st birthday en route!
I packed up my gear, caught the bus from Helsingborg and did my best to capture the adventure for everyone to enjoy. If you prefer to read about the hike as well, I have included a full blog write including a bunch of photos from the trail on my website which I'll provide the link for below:

Turning Torso:
Turning Torso is a neo-futurist residential skyscraper built in Malmö, Sweden in 2005. It was the tallest building in the Nordic region until September 2022, when it was surpassed by Karlatornet in Gothenburg, which is still under construction.Located on the Swedish side of the Öresund strait, it was built and is owned by Swedish cooperative association HSB. It is regarded as the second twisted skyscraper in the world to receive the title after Telekom Tower in Malaysia.
Malmö beach:
Malmö Castle (Swedish: Malmöhus, Danish: Malmøhus) is a fortress located in Malmö, Scania, Sweden. It is owned by the Swedish state and is managed by the State Property Agency. Malmöhus is part of Malmö Museums.
The first castle was founded in 1434 by King Eric of Pomerania. This structure was partially demolished in early 16th century, and a new one was built in its place in the 1530s by King Christian III of Denmark. Historically, this fortress was one of the most important strongholds of Denmark.
The castle was for five years (1568 – 1573) the prison of James Hepburn, 4th Earl of Bothwell, third husband of Mary, Queen of Scots. The earl was taken into custody on the orders of the Protestant Danish king Frederick II of Denmark when his ship ran aground in Bergen, Norway during a storm. He was sent to Malmö Castle to be imprisoned, although he had previously been released from Tower of London for lack of evidence in the murder of Mary's second husband, Henry Stuart, Lord Darnley. As a bachelor, Frederick II courted Elizabeth I of England and was made a Knight of the Garter. Some sources suggest a second reason for the involvement in this matter by the Danish king; he is thought to have held hopes of collecting a ransom from Scotland. However, the Earl of Bothwell died in 1578 in Dragsholm Castle, Zealand, where he had been moved after the first five years in Danish captivity, without ever being the subject of Danish-Scottish negotiations for his release.
