DRIVING through BARCELONA 2020 @ 4K UHD: from Villa Olimpica, via calle Marina, to Sagrada Familia

It was a nice October day and I was driving through the Barcelona downtown (city center): from Villa Olimpica, via calle Marina, to Sagrada Familia.

The city has much less people walking around with respect to the normal life which we all had before the COVID-19 pandemy. Still, the streets are the same and Barcelona remains the same beautiful as it always was!

Suite Life BCN - Neighbourhood Guide: Poblenou Barcelona

Check our website for more information and flats in Barcelona:

One of the most overlooked areas in they city, and in our opinion has many great things to offer and a very high quality of life. Run-down in parts, but very open with tons of light and close to the beach, Poblenou is perfect for anyone who wants to live a slightly more 'tranquilo' lifestyle but also have complete and easy access to the craziness of the city centre...

Pueblo Nuevo (in Catalan and officially Poblenou) is a district of the city Spanish in Barcelona , located in the district of San Martin .
Since 2006, it has been limited between Jaime Vicens Vives streets, Icaria avenue, Avila, Pedro IV, La Laguna, Diagonal avenue , Bac de Roda and the Taulat promenade until the breakwater of Mar Bella.
Its most popular central and civic axis is the Rambla del Poblenou, formerly known as Paseo del Triunfo, which runs through the center of its historic center from sea to mountain.
Its origin is in one of the inhabited nuclei of the old municipality of San Martín de Provensals , which soon grew in industry, inhabitants and agricultural businesses that were previously located in San Adrián de Besós .
It became, at the end of the 19th century, the area with the highest industrial concentration in Catalonia and one of the largest in Spain , for which reason it was known as “The Catalan Manchester ” 5 and awarded with the sculpture of San Salvador.
Traditionally the extension was greater and were part of this territory zones adjacent neighborhoods, following a review of neighborhood movements on the draft administrative division in districts of Barcelona in 2006, included the place - name Poblenou in those neighborhoods: The Poblenou Park and Lagoon , Poblenou Olympic Village , Diagonal Mar and the Poblenou Seafront and Provensals del Poblenou . About Barcelona itself

Barcelona is a city on the coast of northeastern Spain. It is the capital and largest city of the autonomous community of Catalonia, as well as the second most populous municipality of Spain. With a population of 1.6 million within city limits, its urban area extends to numerous neighboring municipalities within the Province of Barcelona and is home to around 4.8 million people, making it the fifth most populous urban area in the European Union. It is one of the largest metropolises on the Mediterranean Sea, located on the coast.

Barcelona is one of the world's leading tourist, economic, trade fair and cultural centers, and its influence in commerce, education, entertainment, sports, media, fashion, science, and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the major global cities. It is a major cultural and economic center in southwestern Europe.

In this city visitors will find not only ancient places of interest, but also modern sights. In other words, Barcelona is a city that can easily suit the needs and tastes of every tourist. The most comfortable way of visiting numerous sights of Barcelona is simply walking around the city.

Eixample area. If you go upward from the very centre of Barcelona, Plaza Catalunya, you will find yourself in Eixample area. This district was built in the art nouveau style. Tourists will surely like the atmosphere of numerous posh shops, various cafes, bars and restaurants. We strongly advise you to go along beautiful and fascinating Paseo de Gracia Street, where, among a great number of monuments, you can find several works by Gaudi.

Gothic Quarter, Raval Quarter and boulevard de Ramblas. If you go downward from Plaza Catalunya, you'll reach the ancient gothic Barcelona. One of the most famous boulevards in Europe – boulevard de Ramblas – will be on your right side. Tourists are also recommended to visit Raval Quarter with its Museum of Modern Art. Gothic Quarter with its marvellous Barcelona Cathedral will be located on your left. Without visiting this ancient part of the city your impression of Barcelona would be incomplete.

Barcelona is also the home of one of the world's most famous football clubs, FC Barcelona.
