BEST Things to do in Villajoyosa, Alicante | La Vila Joiosa | La Vila, Spain
Villajoyosa is a lovely seaside town in the province of Alicante and is part of the Costa Blanca. The town is known to the locals simply as La Vila and Villajoyosa literally translates to “Joyful Town” so this will give you an idea of the friendliness of the locals that live here and the atmosphere in the town. So in this video I will be showing you the best things to do in Villajoyosa, including, getting lost in the colourful streets of La Vila Joiosa, visiting the Valor chocolate factory, VilaMuseu, checking out the Villajoyosa beach and much more.
Villajoyosa is a great place to visit if you’re looking for a day trip from Benidorm or Alicante as it’s not too far away and is very different from both of these towns. You could easily spend the day walking around La Vila exploring, or if you’re just looking to chill out, Villajoyosa’s beach is one of the most beautiful I have seen in Spain and is lovely to spend the day on. I’d say this is a perfect spot for families, friends or couples to visit and there is a variety of activities for you to choose from. And who doesn’t love chocolate?! Villajoyosa is Spains capital of chocolate so visiting a chocolate factory is a must…even if it’s just for the free samples at the end ;)

La Nucia Market Relaxing Walk 4K Spain 2022
You can visit this local market La Nucia every Sunday from 8 to 14 hrs. It is located just a few hundred meters apart from the Rastro Polop, in L´Alberca (La Nucia) and Pla de Polop on the road from La Nucia to Guadalest.
The local market la Nucia offers lots of new products and fresh foods. However, the second-hand flea market of Polop has real second-hand bargains to be found. This means there is a good mix to wander between the stalls and get some good deals. And in case you get tired you can sit down and have a drink or a bite at one of the many food stalls that are present as well. You have more than enough to choose from as there are over 400 stalls divided between both markets.
How to get to the local market la Nucia
Both the local market la Nucia and the Rastro Polop are located outside the villages. Because of that, there is no public transport that can get you there. We advise you to go by car, and on roundabout 1 in La Nucia take the CV-70 towards Guadalest. From here on it is just a few hundred meters to the local market la Nucia. You will have lots of parking space on the main road between the markets available.
