Zamora no es uno de los lugares turísticos más conocidos de España, y esa es precisamente su ventaja: con más de 10.000 kilómetros cuadrados, cuenta con unos 170.000 habitantes, lo que da una densidad poblacional cercana a las 16 personas por kilómetro cuadrado. Para darnos a entender mejor: de los 500 núcleos poblacionales que hay en Zamora, solo unos 17 superan las 1000 personas, es decir, Zamora es un paraíso solitario, ideal para esos viajes en los que buscas calma, más que maravillas turísticas. Sin embargo, esto no quiere decir que sea un lugar solo para echarte en cama a dormir, todo lo contrario, hay mucho por conocer en este departamento, razón por la cual hoy te traemos este artículo sobre qué ver en Zamora.
Puedes navegar por los ríos de Zamora, o perderte en sus montañas, conectarte con la naturaleza a través de ellas y sentir la inmensidad del mundo en tu piel, o simplemente caminar entre sus calles, conocer su cultura, todo en medio de esa enorme paz que te brindará su silencio, o los sonidos habituales que solemos confundir con el silencio: el canto de los pájaros, los pasos de un hombre a lo lejos, los murmullos de la vecindad, suaves, como si el mundo durmiera o estuviera despertando de un liviano sueño. Te regalará, sin duda, una tranquilidad que vale la pena conocer, y los lugares que ver en Zamora los recordarás siempre en la calidez de tu hogar, en esas tardes lluviosas o cuando compartas un chocolate caliente con tu familia. Lugares para Visitar en España - Puebla de Sanabria en Zamora
Considerado uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España , Puebla de Sanabria es una villa enclavada en un entorno natural excepcional con un montón de historias que contar.
Como no podía ser 2de otro modo, para desenmarañar el origen de Puebla de Sanabria nos tenemos que remontar a la época de los celtas, que poblaron estas tierras unos siglos antes de la llegada de Cristo. De hecho, Sanabria procede de la palabra 'Senabriga', con posible origen en el indoeuropeo, que significa 'castro en el monte', y podemos encontrar vestigios de esta civilización por toda la comarca.
Pero sería en la Edad Media cuando Puebla de Sanabria empezó a interesar debido a su ubicación estratégica junto a la frontera de Portugal . Tanto es así que todo lo que se puede observar en la belleza de sus calles se debe a que en el siglo XII Puebla de Sanabria se convirtió en una villa fortificada y un ejemplo de fortaleza defensiva.
Tal fue su importancia que se elevó a finales de ese siglo la iglesia de Santa María del Azogue, de arte románico, ubicada en la Plaza Mayor y una de las visitas obligadas.
El Castillo de los Condes de Benavente es otro de los elementos fundamentales de la hoja de ruta en tu escapada a Puebla de Sanabria y una muestra más del poderío que tuvo la villa en el medievo. Sin duda, junto con esas calles empedradas de película, el castillo es una de las ubicaciones más fotografiadas de esta maravilla del turismo rural.
El castillo, que data del siglo XV, fue bastante dañado durante la Guerra de la Independencia (conflicto bélico que se dio entre 1808 y 1814 dentro del contexto de las guerras napoleónicas, que enfrentó a las potencias aliadas de España, Reino Unido y Portugal contra el Primer Imperio Francés) y se ha usado incluso como cárcel. Actualmente alberga la biblioteca municipal, la Casa de la Cultura y un centro de interpretación de fortificaciones.
Es un verdadero placer caminar en esta época del año por esas calles que huelen a chimenea, a madera añeja, a pueblo en definitiva.
Descubrir la plaza del Ayuntamiento es abrirse a una plaza rodeada de casas blasonadas de madera y pizarra que nos recuerdan que una vez allí habitaron familias con mucho poderío. Y en el centro otra de las fotos necesarias: la fachada isabelina del Ayuntamiento que cierra esta visita por una villa declarada Conjunto Histórico Artístico y que merece un hueco destacado entre los lugares más bonitos de nuestro país.
Puebla de Sanabria se encuentra en un enclave natural privilegiado, teniendo como vecinos de excepción la sierra de la Culebra y el lago de Sanabria y. Nos encontramos con el mayor lago de origen glaciar de toda Europa, que cuenta con varias playas de arena a las que acuden cientos de turistas cuando el clima es agradecido.

???????? An enormously important town declared to be a Historic-Artistic Site. Its strategic position gave rise to it being a site of conflict between Christians and Muslims, a court of kings and the capital of the province in the 19th century.
The town of Toro is built in the shape of a fan and in its centre stands the collegiate church of Santa María la Mayor, from the 12th century. Outstanding on the outside is the multicoloured western door, called the door of His Majesty; and on the inside, the famous Flemish painting La Virgen de la Mosca, a splendid way of the cross and an unusual pregnant Virgin. Next to the collegiate church is the Espolón viewing point, which offers views of a fertile plain known as the Oasis of Castile.

???????? Población de enorme importancia, declarada Conjunto Histórico Artístico. Su ubicación estratégica propició que fuera lugar de conflicto entre cristianos y musulmanes, corte de reyes y capital de provincia en el siglo XIX.
La villa de Toro está estructurada en forma de abanico y en su centro se encuentra la colegiata de Santa María la Mayor, del siglo XII. De su exterior sobresale la policromada portada occidental, llamada de la Majestad; y de su interior, el famoso cuadro flamenco La Virgen de la Mosca, un soberbio calvario y una inusual virgen embarazada. Junto a la colegiata está el mirador del Espolón, desde el que se divisa una vega denominada el Oasis de Castilla.
