El Picacho, Tuluá, Valle del Cauca is a small hill outside of the Tulua city. It is a very popular place for doing exercise. Many people ride the bike or walk to the top of this hill.
On the top of this hill, you can see many butterflies in a sunny day.
And from there you can see the Valle and the Tulua city. The view is amazing.
When you visit Tulua, The Picacho is a must visit place.

El Picacho, Tuluá, Valle del Cauca es una pequeña colina a las afueras de la ciudad de Tulua. Es un lugar muy popular para hacer ejercicio. Mucha gente monta en bicicleta o camina hasta la cima de esta colina.
En la cima de esta colina, puedes ver muchas mariposas en un día soleado.
Y desde allí se puede ver el valle y la ciudad de Tulua. La vista es increíble.
Cuando visite Tulua, el picacho es un lugar que debe visitar.

The mythical land of El Dorado survives in all its splendour in the Gold Museum of Colombia. In 1939, when the directors of the Banco de la República (central bank of Colombia) acquired the Quimbaya Poporo, they agreed that the cultural legacy of pre-Columbian gold work should be preserved from melting down or export.
Thus the first research institutions for archaeology and anthropology came into being, and laws were passed to protect our archaeological heritage. Today the Gold Museum holds more than 33,000 metallic objects in trust for present and future Colombians; these pieces are exhibited not only in its galleries in Bogotá and nine other Colombian cities, but also in frequent temporary exhibitions overseas.

Estuvimos en el Casanare comprobando que hemos recuperado algo de la fauna perdida, pero aún fata mucho por hacer. Encontramos una cantidad de aves impresionantes, venados y hasta un pequeño zorrito. Todo esto en el Hato El Boral, una enorme finca de vocación ganadera que ha decidido rescatar la fauna y protegerla.

¡¿EXISTE UN DESIERTO EN EL VALLE DEL CAUCA?! ????????????
Les presento un desierto con características especiales en esta porción del Valle del Cauca. En botánica, este pedazo de tierra se le llama Enclave Xerofítico (En griego: Xero: seco; fitos: planta). Se le llama así porque se encuentra ubicado en medio de bosques andinos con precipitaciones elevadas, mientras que en estos enclaves, las lluvias son escasas, sumándose a los vientos provenientes del océano Pacífico y el lago Calima. Por lo tanto, conserva algunas especies de plantas adaptadas a este ecosistema árido y seco.
Se encuentra ubicado en el corregimiento de San Isidro en La Cumbre, Valle del Cauca.
