Laura Miranda, ecologist and tour operator in Yopal works with the Fundación Cunaguaro ( A foundation dedicated to promoting the conservation of the territory and culture of the Colombian llanos.
They are currently working on several projects for the education and training of children and youth in areas related to tourism, helping them to become future tourist guides and bird guides. Other projects are related to the conservation of fauna and flora of Casanare, one of these is aimed at the conservation of anteaters that are in danger of extinction.
Cunaguaro also performs wildlife safaris in the Colombian plains, bird watching of the most representative bird species of Casanare, such as the Green-tailed Jacamar ( the Wire-tailed Manakin ( and the Ruby Topaz Hummingbird (

Entre los lugares maravillosos que visitamos en el reciente está el parque temático Historias de Piedras en Yopal.
Por un sendero ecológico de casi 350 metros nos encontramos con sorprendentes figuras en piedra.
Actualmente, al caminar por el sendero hay cerca de 15 esculturas con temáticas religiosa, fauna llanera y precolombinos.
Excelente parque tematico, con figuras hechas en la piedra de la montaña, que presentan elementos culturales de la zona. Accesible para personas de todas las edades. Con un mirador maravilloso desde donde se puede apreciar una vista panorámica de toda la ciudad. Una de las mejores atracciones de la ciudad.
