Hierapolis Pamukkale & Salda lake in Turkey | 1-Day Trip
From Antalya, we booked this one-day trip to Hierapolis, Pamukkale, and on our way, we got the chance to visit Salda lake as well, the trip started at 6 AM in the morning but once you reach it's totally worth it, the only negative thing you'll see there is the fact that it's usually very crowded so don't expect much space in one of the pools, furthermore we advise you to visit in a cool month because it's very hot in the summer.

Lake Salda has been growing popularity in Turkey in recent years and it is often is referred to the Maldives of Turkey because of its clear shores. Around the lake there are places for camping with prices as low as 20 Lira with toilets and showers even though they are not very clean. This lake is close to the city of Isparta and in 10 minutes away from Yeşilova. The night sky here is spectacular for a relaxing night mood and astro-photography. Have a short walk and see the sunset in lake Salda!

Lake Salda is a mid-size crater lake[citation needed] in southwestern Turkey, within the boundaries of Yeşilova district of Burdur Province. It lies at a distance of about fifty kilometers to the west from the province seat Burdur.
Lake Salda is often included in the Turkish Lakes Region that extends across inner western to southern Anatolia, especially Isparta Province and Afyonkarahisar Province, although Lake Salda is geographically separate from the larger lakes, which are more to the west and, being a crater lake, is morphologically different from these tectonic lakes.

The lake area covers 4,370 hectares, and its depth reaches 196 meters, making it one of the deeper lakes in Turkey, if not the deepest. The lake sedimentary records show high resolution climate changes that are related to solar variability during the last millennium.[2]
The lake is a popular excursion spot for people across the region or from beyond, the more so due to the hydromagnesite mineral found in its coastal waters, which is believed to offer remedies for certain dermatological diseases. The shorelines, surrounded by black pine forests, are also popular among hunters, the game and the fowl available including quails, hares, foxes, boars and wild ducks, aside from the lake's fish. White sandy beaches, limpid water and seven crystal-white islets within the lake complete the scenery.
A township that starts almost at the shore to the southwest of the lake carries the same name, Salda. The local administrative seat of Yeşilova is located to the east of the lake at a distance of about four kilometers and Yeşilova municipality manages the lake's camping facilities.
Its peculiar morphology has led to a number of academic studies conducted on Lake Salda. The unusual alkaline nature of the lake means that is one of the few locations where ancient stromatolite algae still grows.[3] The environmental authority wants to protect Lake Salda with a huge national park project. The Salda Lake National Park is in construction and should be finished in 2023.

THE UNIQUE ECOSYSTEM OF LAKE SALDA
There’s more to #LakeSalda than its fabulous looks. Salda Gölü, a crater lake, is one of the largest and deepest enclosed lakes. It has an extremely high concentration of magnesium ions, and it is highly alkaline. The lake is 8 kilometers long and up to 6 kilometers wide, with a total surface of 45 km², and is – at some points – up to 200 meters deep. Lake Salda is known for its extreme conditions and – despite its proximity to a well-known ski-resort – it doesn’t freeze over winter, due to its high mineral content. That is why it is of great value to over-wintering birds, particularly the white-headed duck of which Salda Gölü often holds more than half of the world’s population over winter.
The Spectacular Composition Of Nature At Lake Salda
In short, Lake Salda is unique; not only because of its dazzling appearance but also for its ornithological role, its mineral-rich water, and the presence of hydromagnesite stromatolites, believed to have several health benefits. As a protected area, finding the balance between receiving tourists and maintaining the fragile eco-balance isn’t always easy. The travertines of Pamukkale are an excellent example of how difficult this can be. Scientists believe that large-scale swimming is enough to ruin the lake’s ecosystem permanently.
If you ask us, it is possible to have an enjoyable and eco-friendly visit to Lake Salda. And while many may think swimming or walking in the lake is an essential part of the trip, taking in its natural beauty from the shore is equally rewarding, and you’ll get good karma points for respecting the delicate environment.
HOW TO GET TO LAKE SALDA
Lake Salda is located near Yeşilova in the Burdur province and is well signposted if you’re self-driving. If you’re relying on public transportation, there are minibusses to Yeşilova from Burdur, Antalya, and Denizli. If you want to go to the main public beach after that, you’re a little over 10 km away. A taxi might be your best choice from here.

This time, we went to the Salda Lake. The beach was beautiful and many people were there, either taking photos, or swimming. On the other hand, we also went to a lavender farm, which was very pretty. Bozburun, Marmaris ilçe merkezine yaklaşık 45 kilometre uzaklıkta bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca özel aracı ile Bozburun'a gitmek isteyen kişiler Datça yolunu kullanabilirler. Datça yolundan Bozburun'a ulaşılabilir. Toplu taşıma kullanarak Bozburun'a ulaşmak isteyen kişiler Marmaris'ten kalkan dolmuşlar ile beldeye gidebilirler.
Türkiye'nin güneybatısındaki cennet köşelerden birisi olan Bozburun'da gezilip görülecek pek çok farklı alan bulunuyor. Özellikle Karia Yolu'nda uzun ve keyifli yürüyüşler yapılabiliyor. Karia Yolu, Bozburun Yarımadasından başlıyor. Ayrıca Datça Yarımadası, Gökova Merkezi ve İç Karia olarak da 4 ayrı bölgeye ayrılıyor. Karia Yolu içerisinde çoban patikaları, antik yollar ve orman yolları bulunuyor.
Sporseverler ve uzun yürüyüşlerden hoşlananlar da tatil için Bozburun'u tercih ediyorlar. Bozburun merkezde gezip görülecek pek çok restoran ve hediyelik eşya stantları yer alıyor. Bozburun'un en önemli noktalarından birisi de Orhaniye'deki Kız Kumudur. Kız Kumu Plajı denize girmek isteyenler tarafından sıklıkla tercih ediliyor.
Muğla'nın Marmaris ilçesine bağlı olan Bozburun'un simgesi olan Larymna Antik Kenti de en fazla ziyaret edilen alanlar arasında yer alıyor. Larymna Antik Kenti, Bozburun belde merkezine yaklaşık 45 dakika yürüyüş mesafesinde bulunuyor. Ayrıca bölgedeki Asar Tepesi'nde de kentin bazı kalıntıları yer alıyor. Larymna ise Kum Halkı anlamını taşıması ile biliniyor. Milattan önce 2000'lere kadar dayanan bir tarihi olduğu düşünülen antik kent turistlerin de ilgisini çekiyor. Antik kenti ziyaret edenler yaklaşık 45 dakika boyunca eşsiz bir doğa içinde yürürler. Tepeye ulaşıldığında ise manzaranın keyfi çıkarılır.
Günümüzde özellikle yaz aylarında çok sayıda yerli ve yabancı turist Bozburun'a gelmektedir. Bozburun'da keyifli bir tatil yapan turistler bazı durumlarda tekne turlarını tercih edebilirler. Bozburun'u keşfetmek için denize ulaşmak ve doğanın tadını çıkarmak gerekir. Çevrede yer alan koylarda yüzmek de tatilin keyfini arttıracaktır.
Orman ile denizin buluştuğu noktalar yüzmek için önemli alternatifler arasında sayılıyor. Yaz aylarında başlayan tekne turları genellikle sabah 10.00 itibariyle kalkıyor. Gün boyu denizde olan turistler çeşitli koylara giderek kumsalları ziyaret ediyorlar. Tekne turları Ada Boğaz, Serçe Limanı, Üç Taş, Akvaryum ve Bozukkale gibi rotalar üzerinden yapılıyor. Yaz aylarında genellikle arkadaş grupları ve ya aileler toplu şekilde tekne turlarına katılabiliyorlar.
Huzurlu ve sakin tatil yerlerinden birisi olan Bozburun'da deniz, kum ve güneç üçlüsü ile keyifli bir tatil yapılabilir. Yaz aylarında şehrin gürültüsünden sıkılanlar Bozburun'da keyifli bir tatil yapabilirler. Bozukkale Limanında keyifli ve uzun yürüyüşler de yapılabilir. Bozburun özellikle koyları ile ünlü olan bir beldedir. Bozburun'da özellikle yaz aylarında çok fazla tekne turu yapılır.

Salda and Pamukkala Antalya, Turkey 4k
Lake Salda is a mid-size crater lake[2] in southwestern Turkey, within the boundaries of Yeşilova district of Burdur Province. It lies at a distance of about fifty kilometers to the west from the province seat Burdur.
Lake Salda is often included in the Turkish Lakes Region that extends across inner western to southern Anatolia, especially Isparta Province and Afyonkarahisar Province, although Lake Salda is geographically separate from the larger lakes, which are more to the east and, being a crater lake, is morphologically different from these tectonic lakes.
The lake area covers 4,370 hectares, and its depth reaches 196 meters, making it one of the deeper lakes in Turkey, if not the deepest. The lake sedimentary records show high resolution climate changes that are related to solar variability during the last millennium.[3]
The lake is a popular excursion spot for people across the region or from beyond, the more so due to the hydromagnesite mineral found in its coastal waters, which is believed to offer remedies for certain dermatological diseases. The shorelines, surrounded by black pine forests, are also popular among hunters, the game and the fowl available including quails, hares, foxes, boars and wild ducks, aside from the lake's fish. White sandy beaches, limpid water and seven crystal-white islets within the lake complete the scenery.
A township that starts almost at the shore to the southwest of the lake carries the same name, Salda. The local administrative seat of Yeşilova is located to the east of the lake at a distance of about four kilometers and Yeşilova municipality manages the lake's camping facilities.
Its peculiar morphology has led to a number of academic studies conducted on Lake Salda. The unusual alkaline nature of the lake means that is one of the few locations where ancient stromatolite algae still grows.[4]
Pamukkale, meaning cotton castle in Turkish, is a natural site in Denizli Province in southwestern Turkey. The area is famous for a carbonate mineral left by the flowing of thermal spring water.[1][2] It is located in Turkey's Inner Aegean region, in the River Menderes valley, which has a temperate climate for most of the year.

The ancient Greek city of Hierapolis was built on top of the travertine formation which is in total about 2,700 metres (8,860 ft) long, 600 m (1,970 ft) wide and 160 m (525 ft) high. It can be seen from the hills on the opposite side of the valley in the town of Denizli, 20 km away. This area has been drawing visitors to its thermal springs since the time of classical antiquity.[1] The Turkish name refers to the surface of the shimmering, snow-white limestone, shaped over millennia by calcite-rich springs.[2] Dripping slowly down the mountainside, mineral-rich waters collect in and cascade down the mineral terraces, into pools below.
ÖĞRENCİLER GENÇLER DİKKAT ZAMAN YOLCULUĞU İZMİR BORNOVA YEŞİLOVA VE YASSI TEPE HÖYÜĞÜ
Yeşilova Höyüğü İzmir'in en eski yerleşim birimidir. Bornova ilçesinin Karacaoğlan mahallesinde, Manda çayı kıyısında bulunan bir höyüktür. Yer olarak Işıkkent Eğitim Kampüsü'nün doğusuna, Bornova Anadolu Lisesi'nin güneybatısına düşmektedir.[1] Yerleşim olduğu dönemlerde İzmir Körfezi iki kilometre daha içerideydi, bölge bugünkünden daha sulaktı ve daha zengin bir flora ile faunaya sahipti.[2] Bornova Ovası'nın orta kesimindeki Yeşilova Höyüğü, Yassıtepe Höyüğü ve İpeklikuyu Höyüğü, günümüz İzmir'inde ilk düzenli yerleşimlerin olduğu noktalardır. Diğer yandan alan olarak bakıldığında Batı Anadolu'daki en büyük yerleşimdir. Günümüzde, Bornova Ovası yüzeyinin 4-5 metre altında kalmış durumdadır.[3]
Höyüğe yerleşen ilk topluluk, en az bin yıl boyunca seller ve yangınlara karşın yerleşimi terk etmemiş, köylerini sekiz kez yeniden inşa etmişlerdir. Nüfus artışı, 400 metre kuzeyde Yassıtepe Höyüğü'ne bir köy kurmayı gerektirmiştir. Bu bölgede avcılığın yanı sıra yabanıl buğday yetiştirip sığır otlatmışlardır.[4]
Nisan 2009 tarihinden itibaren Bornova Belediyesi'nin düzenlemeleri ile grup halinde öğrencilere, günümüzden 8.500 yıl önce günlük yaşamı, evleri, kullanılan eşyaları yerinde göstermek için etkinlikler yapıla gelmektedir
