For the love towards Natur and History took me to Wernigerode. Its a small town in the district of Harz, famous for Brocken Harz Mountain.
There are few Museum and Churches to visit, Schiefes Haus, Castle , Lust park, Harz Museum.
Wernigerode Castle , built during 12th Century to secure the way for emperors on their way to hunting in Harz. Later the castle underwent many renovations.
During 17th century, the Count (Graf ) Christian Ernest of Stolberg Wernigerode modified this castle to a romantic residential castle. With so many collections of paintings, photographs, etc. to know more about the collections in Wernigerode Castle visit the link given below.

Wernigerode, Germany walking tour 4K 60fps - The most beautiful medieval towns
Hello, todday's tour is in Wernigerode, a stunning medieval town in the Harz region in Germany. The town situated on the Holtemme river, on the northern slopes of the Harz Mountains. It is close to the Brocken mountain (1141 m), the highest peak in the Harz Mountains. We will walk through streets full of charming medieval timber-framed houses and we will see the town hall (Rathaus), which was built in 1420, and it is one of the most significant pieces of architecture in Wernigerode. We will walk through the old town, passing the narrow streets and wonderful buildings and colorful houses. Then we will walk up to the Wernigerode Castle on the top of the town with great view of Wernigerode and the surrounding Harz mountains. During this tour, you will discover the beauty of this harz town and you may add it to your list to visit one day.

Wernigerode Sehenswürdigkeiten: Schloss, Altstadt, Kleinstes Haus & mehr Aktivitäten
Wernigerode ist wohl eine der bekanntesten Städte im Harz und allein das Rathaus war für mich einer der Hauptgründe für einen Besuch der Stadt im Oberharz. Nachdem ich euch auf meinem Harz Roadtrip bereits Goslar und den Brocken vorgestellt habe, stelle ich euch heute meine persönlichen 5 Wernigerode Must See Sehenswürdigkeiten vor und erkläre euch damit, was ihr in Wernigeorde unternehmen könnt.
Diese Wernigerode Attraktionen stelle ich euch in diesem YouTube Video vor: die Altstadt/das Zentrum, das Rathaus mit Brunnenn auf dem Marktplatz, das schiefste und auch das kleinste Haus in Wernigerode und als letztes auch noch das Wernigerode Schloss, das hoch über der Stadt thront.
Ich laufe durch die Wernigeroder Innenstadt, die zum UNESCO Weltkulturerbe gehört, und schaue mir dabei wunderschöne alte Fachwerkhäuser an, verliebte mich in die Architektur, schaue mir Wernigerode von oben an und tauche zudem etwas in die Wernigeroder Geschichte ein. Habt ihr Lust mitzukommen?

Hello, lovely people. We went on a trip to Harz mountain for the Valentine‘s weekend and it turned out to more romantic than we thought !!
It was spine tickling cold and our hair froze at the top of Brocken but It was an experience that will be always remembered by us ????
Harz has something for everyone whether you want to hike through mountains, ride the steam train or explore cosy and cute towns with castles and stories to take your breath away .
Sharing with you my top recommendations. Harz has different things to offer all around the year and makes for a perfect weekend trip.

The popular town of Wernigerode with its historic town center and elaborately restored and colorful half-timbered houses is located on the northern edge of the Harz Mountains. The nickname colorful city on the Harz was coined by the German writer Hermann Löns at the end of the 19th century. The town hall on the market square, the leaning house, the smallest house and the oldest house are just some of these features that make up the rich half-timbered idyll of Wernigerode.

As part of this series, we explore the Harz mountain region of Germany, and the fascinating towns in this region which are loaded with history and folklore.
In this episode we explore the colourful toy town Wernigerode at the foothill of highest mountain peak in Harz - Brocken. Wernigerode has a fascinating market square dating back to the medieval times with a 500 year old town hall building. We visit the famous crooked house and try not to succumb to gravity in this science defying leaning house. That is followed by a visit to the magnificent palace of Wernigerode which is built like a fort. On our way back from the palace we stop to peep inside the smallest house of Wernigerode and then enjoy a hearty meal in one of the best local restaurant and cafe.
