Driving Around Small Town Beaver Dam, Wisconsin in 4k Video

Filmed on Saturday, May 27 2023, I drive around the village Beaver Dam, WI to see what's happening.

Beaver Dam is a city in Dodge County, Wisconsin, along Beaver Dam Lake and the Beaver Dam River. The population was 16,708 at the 2020 census.

Beaver Dam was first settled by Thomas Mackie and Joseph Goetschius in 1841, and by 1843 had a population of almost 100. The city was named for an old beaver dam located in a stream flowing into Beaver Dam River.

Beaver Dam hosted a World War II prisoner of war camp called Camp Beaver Dam in the summer of 1944. The camp held 300 German prisoners in a tent city encampment where the Wayland Academy field house now stands.

As of the census of 2020, the population was 16,708.

The racial makeup of the city was 85.0% White, 1.7% Black or African American, 0.9% Asian, 0.3% Native American, 4.7% from other races, and 7.3% from two or more races. The population was 11.5% Hispanic or Latino of any race.

The median income for a household in the city was $55,551, and the per capita income for the city was $30,729.

About 6.2% of families and 8.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 11.2% of those under age 18 and 7.0% of those age 65 or over. #driving #travel #drivingtour

Moccasin Bar Hayward Wisconsin- Iconic Up-North Bar

Come with us to the Moccasin Bar in Hayward, Wisconsin. It’s a fun, iconic up-north bar with the world’s once largest Musky and experience the humorous taxidermy animal characters scattered throughout the bar.

If you want to visit an authentic Wisconsin bar then this is the place. The locals seemed to stop in for their Saturday morning Bloody Mary. That’s because it was good and came at a Classic Wisconsin Northwoods Tavern price. The beer shooter to wash it down was a nice addition.
The Moccasin Bar is a historic must see. There’s lots of fish mounted on the walls with some interesting history

Endless Shores of Wisconsin: Calumet County

The three counties that surround Wisconsin's biggest inland lake show us what the Lake Winnebago ecosystem means to them. And you don’t want to miss the fan favorites of Calumet County.

If it’s thrills you’re looking for, Gravity Park USA definitely delivers. From motor cross to stock cars, fans travel far and wide to gather for these adrenaline-packed races every weekend. The short track and tight corners make for great passing and racing; a layout unlike any other park.

If you’re looking for a truly unique experience, the 105-acre park and environmental center known as Ledge View Nature Center, is where you want to be. This seemingly endless exploration cove on the edge of the endless shores contains a plethora of woodlands, dolomite ledges, open prairie, an inactive quarry, 3 miles of trails, a 60-foot observation tower, an arboretum, and gardens with native wildflowers; but it’s most known for its caves. Caves that are maintained as wild without any paved walkways or electric lighting where some moments you’re crawling on your stomach then the next thing you know you’re looking up at rocks 30 feet above your head. Don’t believe us? See it for yourself at

After so much excitement, there’s nothing better than soaking in the view from your lakeside campground at the Calumet County Park.
