¿Qué más hacer en este lugar?
1. Ir la la Panadería Francesa - tiene los mejores panes y postres!
2. Ir a la casita de Chocolate (yo nunca he entrado porque te cobran un cover de 10mil pesos (3 dólares) pero me lo han recomendado).
3. Comer Pizza! hay varios sitios de Pizza muyy ricos!
Un almuerzo en Villa de leyva en un restaurante está alrededor de 30mil a 40mil pesos (10-15 dólares).
Hospedaje
1. Camping (nunca lo he hecho pero si he visto muchos sitios de camping cerca a Villa de leyva).
2. Hostales. Hay hostales desde 30mil (10 dólares) la noche.
3. Airbnb - hay unas casas muy lindas coloniales que puedes alquilar por Airbnb si vas con varias personas.
¿Cómo llegar?
1. Puedes tomar un bus desde la terminal del norte en Bogotá (16mil pesos / 5 dólares). - te demorarás aproximadamente 4 horas.
2. Puedes irte en carro propio - duración 3 horas.

Hoy les enseñaremos qué hacer en Villa de Leyva, Colombia! En este primer video por Villa de Leyva les daremos un útil recorrido por la Plaza Mayor, Pozos Azules y las mejores calles, iglesias y parques de este hermoso pueblo colombiano.
Para empezar les enseñaremos cómo pueden llegar desde Bogotá o desde Tunja en bus y también les mostraremos una excelente opción de alojamiento en el pueblo, la Casa Tzabar.
Luego les daremos un tour por la Plaza Mayor y la Iglesia Nuestra Señora del Rosario. Al día siguiente les hablaremos un poco sobre el mercado campesino y recorreremos algunas de las calles, parques y casas más famosas de Villa de Leyva, entre las cuales se encuentra la Casa Museo Antonio Ricaurte, el Parque Antonio Nariño, la calle Caliente y la Calle Don Juan de Castellanos.
Para finalizar los llevaremos al excelente restaurante La María y los llevaremos a conocer una de las atracciones más populares del pueblo, los lagos de Pozos Azules.

From Tunja, it is only an hour to Villa de Leyva (also spelt Villa de Leiva), a pretty colonial town surrounded by mountains. It's proximity to Bogota means it gets crowded on weekends.
Villa de Leyva's Plaza Mayor (main square) is one of the largest in the Americas, and unique for the fact it is entirely cobblestoned, much like the rest of town.
It is a town made for strolling along its streets, lined with cafes, restaurants, shops. There are some outstanding museums as well.

Villa de Leyva, also called Villa de Leiva, is a touristic colonial town and municipality, in the Ricaurte Province, part of the Boyacá department of Colombia. The town is located 37 kilometres (23 mi) west of the departmental capital Tunja. It is three and a half hours by car or bus from Bogotá.[1]
Located away from major trade routes in a high altitude valley of semi-desert terrain, and with no mineral deposits nearby to exploit, the town has undergone little development in the last 400 years. As a consequence, it is one of the few towns in Colombia to have preserved much of its original colonial style and architecture: the streets and large central plaza are still paved with cobblestones, and many buildings date from the sixteenth century. This has resulted in Villa de Leyva becoming one of Colombia's principal tourist attractions, and it was declared a National Monument on December 17, 1954 to preserve its architecture.] The town and the surrounding countryside, which contains several sites of interest, are popular weekend destinations for citizens of Bogota, and attract an increasing number of foreign tourists.

Se caracteriza por conservar una arquitectura de estilo colonial, por la variedad de sus paisajes rurales que van desde la zona de páramo, con sus nacimientos y reservorios de agua, hasta la zona desértica, y por la diversidad de las especies que los habitan.
