Neuer Stellplatz Chipiona/Andalusien/kostenlos Etappenplatz Sevilla-Reisebericht Womo Spanien 2023
Unsere Wohnmobilreise durch Andalusien führt uns im Frühjahr 2023 auf den Stellplatz La Siesta de la Gaviota bei Chipiona, wo wir mit unserem Wohnmobil auf dem neuen Teil mit freier Platzwahl übernachten. Es folgt die Vorstellung des 2023 neu eröffneten Stellplatzes Area Autocaravanes La Laguna, der direkt in Chipiona 400 Meter vom Strand entfernt liegt. Weiter geht es zu einem kostenfreien Stellplatz, der sich gut als Etappenplatz Richtung Portugal/Algarve oder für eine Besichtung Sevillas eignet. Wir besuchen Christoph Kolumbus und die Santa Maria im Freilichtmuseum Muelle de las Carabelas sowie den wunderschönen Park Botanico in La Rábida/Huelva. Abschließend nehmen wir euch mit auf den Campingplatz Doñana Playa, der nahe Mazagón am wunderschönen Sandstrand mit dem Torre del Rio de Oro liegt.

Sevilla to the Portuguese border. Leaving Spain!
On today's road trip we're driving the final stretch of southern Spain in Andalusia, from Sevilla up to the Portuguese border. The border is in the middle of the Guadiana bridge over the Rio Guadiana.
Next episodes we'll make our way to the beach resorts of Albufeira and Lagos in the Algarve!

The great thing about Portugal is that it isn't a very wide country and Spain can be reached in around 1.5/2 hrs.
On this occasion, we decided to take a day trip to Seville in the Andalusia Region of Spain from our hotel in Portimão, Algarve, Portugal.

Northern Spain - magical place you didn't know about!
We made it to Spain! But to our surprise, it wasn't Spain as we know it. The weather was colder and the landscape often reminded us of Scotland. But most of all, it was more intimate, as opposed to crowded France and Italy! There were more vans than campers and beautiful parking spots were everywhere.
We are Monia & Michał, a couple living and travelling in our Mercedes mb100 called Fantastic Mr. Van. We quit our city lives and decided to go nomad for a year or more!

Our Motorhome Tour of Spain moves on this week to a very different stop over. We located this Camper stop using the Camper Contact App, and it turned out to an isolated spot in the Espuna National Park. Room for 5 vans only , with great walks and great photography options. Not knowing what to expect the stop over was certainly different.

Spanish Tapas that you will see these in the sign boards often when you visit Seville from the Month of May to June, which is the season of Spanish Snails famously known here as, Caracoles. It is one of the most traditional tapas of Seville and the star of many dishes during the late Spring. Caracoles is the small version prepared by cooking it in a broth with garlic, pepper and spices, while the bigger version is called Cabrillas. It is cooked in a different way but normally cooked with tomato, bread, red pepper, onion and olive oil.
Eating snails is a beautiful gastronomy tradition related to the people's lifestyle. This season of Caracoles in Seville is only two months long that is why people in Seville are enjoying this special moment with a really cold beer in any beautiful places of Seville Spain.
For those first timers, this is like an exotic food because of its strange look where the heads and antennae are still attached. It really doesn't look delicious but most people who tried it for the first time were fascinated by the taste and spicy aroma of it.
The best way to eat and enjoy a caracoles in any bar or restaurant is with a glass of soup from the cooked snails. You can either slurp it like what locals do or use a toothpick to fish the fleshy head out of the shell.

We're currently in the south of Spain with our campervan Milli.
Today we're driving north along the Almeria coast in Spain from Mojácar to show you some of the beautiful camper stops available in this area. We start in Garrucha where we slept next to a castle.
Move on to Vera Playa with its stretched out beach along the bay and on to Vilaricos with a vast open plain. Then to Playa Dolores with its black volcanic beach and to end, along a beautiful coastal drive, the ruins of castle.

Motorhomes wild camping on the beach in Spain - 2021 10 23
Motorhomes wild camping/parking on the beach at Vera Playa/Palomares & at Villaricos beach just half a mile north of there.
Both popular spots, especially in the winter months.
Occasionally get moved on from the Vera Playa/Palomares beach (Playa Quitapellejos), and less often from the Villaricos one.
Water is available at Vera Playa via shower on the beach.
Chiringuito/Cafe Bars on both beaches.
It had rained overnight before driving this route, but as usual , apart from a few muddy patches it had all cleared up the next day.

Spain Road Trip Part 1. 8 weeks in a Motorhome
First episode of our Motorhome winter road trip through France to Spain in 2022. Dogged by delays; first France not letting tourists in, then the wife getting the dreaded C-word. We travel through France over 3 days to Pamplona in our Elddis Accordo 125 6m Motorhome. Then onto the Spanish coast where our first episode ends.

We found the best wild motorhome camping spot in the Alicante region of Spain, so we decided to hit the road for the Easter holidays, our plan is to find wild camping hotspots that we can legally stay at, we had confirmation from the local Police that stopping for 2 nights in Santa Pola was legal and 1 night in Jávea near Cabo de San Antonio Mountain.
The 1st part of our trip was 1 night in Gran Alacant- Santa Pola, the morning after we set of for Denia with just over 1 hours drive up the coast towards Cabo de San Antonio, we decided that it didn't feel great staying on the top of the mountain, we made our way back down and found a hotspot right on the seafront in a busy car park. The rock pools are awesome for the kids to explore the natural sea life, crabs, rock gobies, sea urchins, sea anemones and shrimps.
