Lloret de Mar - The liveliest city on the Costa Brava

Lloret de Mar is situated in the southern part of the Costa Brava, 70 kilometres to the north east of Barcelona.

The city of Barcelona and its airport El Prat can be reached by train, with connections going further beyond. The local airport is at Girona, which is just 35 motoring minutes away.

This is one of the Mediterraneans most popular resorts and certainly the liveliest holiday spot on this stretch of the Spanish coastline. The former fisherman’s village covers 48 square kilometres, and has five main beaches along a 7 kilometre of coastline.

(From Wiki):
Blanes is a town and municipality in the comarca of Selva in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. During the Roman rule it was named Blanda or Blandae. It is known as the Gateway to the Costa Brava. Its coast is part of the Costa Brava, which stretches from Blanes up to the French border.

Separated from Blanes beach by the Sa Palomera rock, S’Abanell beach is one of the longest of the whole Girona coast. It is over 2,380 metres long, stretching up to the mouth of the Tordera river. Although it has an average width of 32 metres, being heavily exposed to storms, the amount of sand varies over the course of the year. It combines golden and courser sands and, like its neighbouring beach, has a children's club among the services available. It can be accessed both from the town centre and from the main tourist resorts that there are in this area. The promenade also provides visitors to the beach with lots of other services. It has been awarded a blue flag.

Peralada Spain, Near Barcelona

Peralada is a lovely Medieval Town somewhat near Barcelona Spain in the province of Girona. I was there in 2019 and had some difficulty in identifying some of the lesser known Historic Structures. Certainly the Castell de Peralada ,Church of Santa Eulalia (15th century) ,Convent del Carme (circa 1293) convent of Saint Dominic (11th century) are some of the more significant structures.
The Castel is also a casino. With a chapel that can be rented for weddings or a place to ask god to help with your gambling addiction! A lovely golf course offers a beautiful environment to play a round of golf.
We stayed just outside of Peralada at a Finca Rural, Can Carbo de les Olives.
A historic but very comfortable accommodations. The breakfast was fresh and varied. Peralada is a short walk into town.

Petite tour au marché de Tordera pour y acheter des olives, du miel, des pieds de tomates et un citonier vert ( Lime).
