This wasn't our first time visiting URUAPAN, MICHOACÁN - we were first here in 2013. However, we can safely say there were two things to see in Uruapan which we weren't expecting to come across in our travels...
It's true: Uruapan is one of our favorite places to visit in Michoacán. In fact, this city sort of reminds us of some famous colonial towns in Mexico, but without all the visitors.

End of year vacation to Mexico (The ruins of Zaragoza)
on this year vacation to Michoacán Mexico I ended up visiting the ruins of Zaragoza. what it appears to be some archeological ruins. I gather up with some friends and family from the place and hit the trial all the way to the top of the mountain where you can see a different horizon of Mexican land and their archeological remains of pyramids.
(excuse the audio problems I had and didn't noticed until I started editing the video.)

Un paseo por Tzintzuntzan un pueblo mágico de Michoacán, cuyo nombre significa “lugar de colibríes. Muy cerca de Pátzcuaro, el tranquilo poblado compuesto por hermosas calles empedradas y casas de teja colorada tiene un mercado de artesanías al aire libre. Allí encuentras la panikua, artesanía tradicional hecha de paja de trigo muy usada como adornos navideños; la chuspata, un junco que crece a las orillas del lago de Pátzcuaro y es tejida para crear una gran variedad de productos como: sillones, mesas, lámparas y adornos. Además el pueblo se distingue por su alfarería de barro que dan origen a las vajillas y artesanías de diferentes colores como: blanco, negro, rojo y café.

Over a decade-long period from 1993 to 2010, Opal Images Inc. and Doublejay Productions Produced Tours of Mexico numerous other videos for the Government of Mexico, showcasing the country's many attractions. The project began with a year-long shoot that covered the entirety of Mexico, and was subsequently followed by multiple shoots and extensive offline and online editing. The team utilized a range of equipment, including film, Sony Betacam, Sony Digital Betacam, and later, Sony HDCAM, to capture footage that was used in a variety of contexts, such as tourism, commercials, promotional videos, events, resort videos, and B-roll for broadcasting and programming. The project's success was evident in its receipt of two Emmys, 18 Tellys, and several advertising awards, and was also credited with significantly boosting tourism throughout the country.
