Tatvan Turkey - Malayalam Vlog
Tatvan, Van region is historically important as the centre of the Urartu and Armenian kingdoms. It later came under the rule of Byzantines, Seljuks and then the Ottomans - see main Wikipedia entry for history.

Bitlis, (Osmanlıca: بدليس / Bidlis Kürtçe Bedlis, Ermenice: Baghaghesh veya Baghesh) Bitlis ilinin merkezi olan şehirdir. Merkez ilçeye bağlı üç bucak vardır. Tarihçiler Bitlis tarihini değişik zamanlardan başlatmaktadırlar. 5000 yıllık, 7000 yıllık tarih gibi. Gerçekte Bitlis tarihi Neolotik Çağ dediğimiz Yenitaş dönemine kadar uzanmaktadır. Bitlis ve yöresinin yazılı tarih öncesi oldukça karanlıktır. En önemli nedenleri yüzeydeki buluntuların az olması ve bugüne kadar gerçekçi bir arkeolojik çalışma yapılmamasıdır. Bitlis ili sınırları içerisinde bulunan Süphan ve Nemrut Dağı dağlarındaki obsidyen (doğal cam yatakları), doğrudan olmasa bile dolaylı olarak bu yöre tarihinin Neolitik dönemine kadar çıktığını göstermektedir. Obsidyen yataklarından elde edilen doğal camın yontucu, kesici, kazıyıcı olarak çevredeki yerleşim yerlerinde kullanıldığı anlaşılmaktadır. Yine yapılan çalışmalar sonucunda o döneme ait ticaret yolu Van Gölü'nün doğusundan güneye (bugün ki Van ili sınırları içerisinde bulunan Kalkolitik – Maden Dönemi – yerleşme alanı olan Tilkitepe), batıda ise Diyarbakır il sınırlarına (Ergani yakınındaki çanak-çömleksiz bir Neolitik yerleşme yeri olan Çayönü) dek uzanmaktadır.

청록색 거대한 신비의 호수 탐험 - 터키 세계여행 [10] (Van, Turkey)
터키 반(Van) 호수의 악다마르섬(Akdamar island) 탐험 영상입니다.
반 시내에서는 약 50분정도 차로 떨어져있는 게바쉬(gevaş)라는 도시의 선착장에서 배가 떠났으며 약 20분정도 배를 타고 섬으로 들어가 구경하고 왔네요.
개인적으로 터키여행중 너무 가보고싶었던 곳이었는데 보고와서 너무 만족스러웠어요!
특히 저 초록빛 호수와 푸르른 하늘, 그리고 아르메니아 성당... 와.....
과연 이게 우리가 알던 터키의 모습인가 하는 생각이 들더군요.

This is a video about visiting Akdamar island in lake Van, Turkey.
The ferry left from the pier in gevaş, which is about 50 minutes away by car from Van city center, and it took 20 minutes to get to the island.
Personally, it was a place I really wanted to visit during my trip to Turkey and it was very meaningful and worth it.
Especially the green lake and the blue sky. and the Armenian church.....
I was so surprised that I didn't feel like it was typical Turkey that we knew!

Tatvan Nemrut Krater Gölü Yolu (Full) | Nemrut Crater Lake | Turkey Road Trip [K.DERE]
Nemrut Dağı ve Krater Gölü, Van Gölü’nün batısında, Tatvan, Ahlat ve Güroymak ilçelerinin sınırları içinde yer alır. Nemrut krateri, yaklaşık 9 kilometrelik genişliği ile dünyanın en büyük kraterlerinden biridir. Üzerindeki krater gölü, dünyanın en büyük ikinci Türkiye'nin ise en büyük kaldera gölüdür.
Nemrut Kalderası'na, Bitlis’in Tatvan ve Ahlat ilçelerinden iki farklı yoldan ulaşılabilmektedir. Tatvan’dan Nemrut Krater Gölü’nün mesafesi 20 km., Ahlat’tan ise 25 km’dir. Burayı ziyaret etmek isteyenlere Tatvan yolunu (Bu yolu) kullanmalarını öneririm. Tatvan yolunun Nemrut Kayak Merkezi'ne kadar olan bölümü asfalt diğer bölümü taş döşemdir. Zamanla taş döşemeli yolun bazı kesimleri hasar gördüğünden bu bölümlerde dikkatli olunuz! Ahlat yolu ise stabilize olup bazı bölümleri küçük araçlar için riskli olabilir!
Nemrut Kalderası tabanının batı yarısı göl ile kaplıdır. Nemrut Kalderası'nda deniz seviyesinden 2.247 m yükseklikte ikisi devamlı, üçü mevsimlik olmak üzere beş göl bulunmaktadır. Nemrut göllerinin en büyük olanı yarım ay şeklindeki Nemrut Gölü’dür. Gölün ortalama derinliği 100 m civarındadır. Gölün kuzey batı kenarındaki bir noktada 175 m. derinlik ölçülmüştür. Alınan su örneklerinde suyun renksiz, kokusuz, içme suyu lezzetinde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Nemrut Gölü'nün görünür bir dışa akışı yoktur.

Exploring a Small Town in Turkey ???????? | Solo Travel Tatvan | Turkey Travel Vlog (Ep. 21)
In this Turkey Travel vlog, I traveled to a place called Tatvan. While staying for only 1 night in a place called Siirt, a local man told me that Tatvan was beautiful. So I decided to go.
He was right. Tatvan is a pretty cool place. There is a mountain off in the distance that was formed by a volcano...and it looks pretty cool. I tried to visit the mountain, but local busses were not available to this place. Instead, I walked around and met a few local people.
There is a cool park located at the center of the boardwalk near the lake. There are so many people that gather here at the end of each day. So many families come together and simply hang out. Pretty cool!
My intentions were to go swimming, but much of the lake was terribly disgusting near the shoreline. There was a small area that some kids were swimming. I wanted to join them, but I was a bit scared to leave both of my cameras and cell phone on the platform while I was in the water, so I decided to just watch them swim for a few moments instead.
I tried walking in a neighborhood, but was stopped by a local man. He said not to enter. I don't know why. I tried translating...but he wouldn't use complete sentences when speaking in to the translator, so the translation didn't mean anything. I don't know what he said.
I talked to a teenage girl for about 20 minutes or so. She stopped me to see if I needed any help. Apparently I looked confused when I was near the shopping mall.
After around 6 O'clock, I visited the local park again and was shocked to see so many people. It looked like the whole town was there all at the same time. Families were picnicking, kids were playing, people were shooting air rifles, people were having dinner, playing tennis, and much more. It was pretty cool to simply walk around and observe the locals.
On the next day, I went to have lunch at a local cafe. As I was sitting there alone and browsing social media, two small boys walked up to me and randomly sat at my table. I was quite surprised. I guess they just wanted to talk. I'm still not entirely sure. Anyway, we had an interesting conversation. Soon their lunch arrived at their parent's table...and they said goodbye.
Definitely an interesting couple of days in Tatvan, Turkey!
