Sailing to DESERTED Islands Maloelap Atoll EP72

sailing to DESERT Islands
DESERT Islands and DRONE Fun
☕️ Support our videos:
Pigotti Island was used by the Japanese in World War 2 to provide electricity to Taroa island. Today it is pretty much deserted. We explore the remains of the generator building and stumble over old bomb casings on the beach. Daisy is finally allowed to take to the skies and brings us back some beautiful shots.
We cool off with some snorkelling and we enjoy the company of a hunting octopus or two....

????‍❤️‍????About us :
Hello and welcome to our channel! We are Jo and Rob and we are here to share our sailing adventures with you.
In 2016, inspired by the likes of ‘Delos’, ‘Sailing La Vagabonde’ and ‘Gone with The Wynns’, we sold up everything we owned and bought our 40ft, Fountaine Pajot ‘Lipari 41 Evo’ sailing catamaran ‘Double Trouble’. We had no sailing experience whatsoever, so the past few years have been a huge learning curve.
We thought it might be fun to document our travels for anyone thinking of following a similar lifestyle.
So far we have visited 7 different countries and sailed over 13,000 nautical miles.
We have had many unique experiences that would not have been possible in our prior life and we don’t regret a second.
We're both super keen on protecting our precious environment, so amongst other things, we both follow a plant based diet. You wont find any fishing footage on this channel!

Scary sailing, wonderful sailing and A LOT of WW2 relics in Marshall Isands. Ep. 49 Hilma Sailing

Maloelap Atoll is such and interesting place to visit! There is hundreds of WW2 relics, everywhere. There are canons, houses, bullets, aircrafts on shore and such interesting snorkeling on old war ships. If we had more time we could probably spend months on these motu islands and still see new fascinating things every day.

Bluewater SAILING passage Majuro to Ailuk Atoll EP77

Bluewater SAILING passage Majuro to Ailuk Atoll
SAILING the Marshall Islands Two nights to Ailuk Atoll

This week we leave Majuro and travel 240 miles north to Ailuk Atoll, in what we think is a good weather window. It turns out that we time it perfectly so that we have to dodge squalls that come across every hour or so!

Mark and Angie from 'Uno Mas' were about five to ten miles in front of us and missed just about every squall, so if we had started our trip an hour earlier we would have had a much smoother trip!

Once in the shelter of Aur and Maloelap atolls we have some lovely sailing and the squalls lessen as we near Ailuk.
After waiting for good light we negotiate the reef pass and drop the hook in front of Ailuk Village on the South east side of the atoll.
We celebrate with an early night after a very tiring two days!

Sailing into a BAD Anchorage EP73

Sailing, A SCARY NIGHT at Anchor
A SCARY NIGHT at Anchor and a DIVE into HISTORY

We anchor at Ollat Island where we are asked to help a medical team visiting from Majuro. Their ice packs are rapidly melting and the vaccines they are carrying are in danger of spoiling...
We dive on a couple of wrecks that have a very famous history and snorkel with a beautiful Zebra shark .
We then have a VERY scary night at anchor as a midnight squall swings us towards some shallow coral.

Please subscribe to our channel if you enjoy these videos . And leave us some comments -we love to know what you think ????
