It is a scenic agricultural and industrial city near Suncheon Bay
Suncheonman Bay Wetland Reserve
The fields in Suncheonman Bay is thickly covered with reeds taller than a full-grown man. It is the biggest colony of reeds in Korea. The image of the entire field swaying in the wind is as dazzling as waves on the sea.
Songgwangsa Temple
It was built 1,000years ago. In accordance with its lengthy history, Songgwangsa has a number of important treasures and cultural assets, such as the 13.9 cm high, miniature, wooden altar with a triad of Buddhas inside. But the most appropriate asset for a temple considered to be the “Sangha Treasure” is the community of monks itself. Around 150 monks practice every year in the Seon Room, Sutra School and Precepts School that are part of this temple. Songgwangsa also takes care of many mountain hermitages, including Bulilam, Gwangwonam, and Cheonjaam.
Naganeupseong Walled Town
Naganeupseong Walled Town is located in Jeollanam-do, and contains a fortress town that is over 59,504 ㎡ in size. The fortress walls were built using square-shaped stones to reach 4 meters in height, 3 to 4 meters in width, and 1,410 meters in total length. The town consists of three neighborhoods along the east, south and west of the fortress walls. The village is overall well preserved, allowing visitors to observe houses and lifestyles that have all been passed down from the past. The town is highly valued as a historical and cultural resource for studying traditional folk customs.
Suncheonman Bay National Garden
Suncheonman Bay National Garden was established on a plot of 1.12 million ㎢ to help protect Suncheonman Bay. The garden is home to over 790,000 trees in 505 species and 3.15 million flowers in 113 species. The numerous groups of tulips and royal azaleas are truly a sight to see. In addition, the nearby 30,000 ㎡ field of canola flowers in full bloom in May creates a beautiful yellow wave of color. Although there are restaurants within the garden, bringing in food is allowed, making the garden a great location for a picnic in the shade of the trees.

We spent the day traveling around Suncheon. First, we started the day at the Suncheon Open Film Set. Later, we caught a taxi to the National Garden and took the SkyCube to Suncheon Bay Ecological Park.

Suncheon is a city in South Jeolla Province, South Korea. It is 294kms from the capital city, Seoul. You can reach Suncheon by car, train, or bus.FIf buses are more accessible to your place of origin you can take a bus at Seoul Central City Bus Terminal. It takes 3 hours and 40 minutes. You can also take the Korail Train from Gwangmyeong Station. It takes 2 to 3 hours. Tickets cost 34,000won to 55,000won. It's worth it. You will never regret.

Welcome to episode 4 of my South Korea travel vlog. I loved the time I spent exploring Korea's south coast, primarily Yeosu and Geoje Island. I’d highly recommend catching the sunset on a Yeosu cable car ride over the ocean. The view of all the islands on the south coast was incredible.

Today we are out of the city and in the South Korean Countryside! We are staying in Suncheon which is nestled in the countryside, but is still a pretty built-up town.
We ventured out of town to visit Naganeupseong Folk Village in the morning, which was so quaint and beautiful, and very quiet!
We then stopped for a quick lunch in GS25 and then moved on to Suncheon Bay National Gardens. Again, it was totally stunning and virtually tourist-free!

I spent one night in Seoul then went on a road trip down to Suncheon. I walked through a beautifully lit winter trail in Seoul. On the way to Suncheon, I've got to see some interesting traffic action... and try more awesome Korean food!

Travel Guide: Suncheon Bay National Garden (순천만국가정원), South Korea [UHD]
The Suncheon Bay Garden was established in order to turn 1.12 square kilometers of natural habitat into a conservation area, where it houses over 505 species of trees and 113 species of flowers. Especially, the numerous groups of tulips and royal azaleas are truly a sight to see. In addition, the nearby 30,000-square-meter field of canola flowers is in full bloom in May, which creates a beautiful yellow wave of color and trees make a great shades of canopy for the area.
Getting there is fairly easy as buses and an unmanned shuttle train (PRT) opened along with the Suncheon Bay Garden and Suncheon Literature Center district (4.64 km) are available for service. Visitors can hop on the PRT and go to the literature center, then also ride the train along the 1.2-kilometer stretch of reeds to Mujingyo Bridge.

Korea's ECO Capital Suncheon and its Wetlands are situated in the city of Suncheon. This place was one of my highlights of the Korean trip. Being known as the area with the best food due to its vast flat lands (most of Korea is really mountainous).
Suncheon Wetland nature was out of this world beautiful with hidden monsters lurking in the mud fields. You can see weird-looking fish and small crabs living together in the mud.
There is no question about where your next travel destination will be, it can only be in Suncheon.
