We went to the UK's best pub! (The Fordwich Arms, Canterbury)
On our final date before we became a three we decided to go somewhere very special to one of Kent's - if not the UK's - best restaurant, The Fordwich Arms.
As you will see the food is breathtakingly beautiful and well worth the money in our opinion! As well as having a Michelin Star it is consistently featured in best restaurants lists and we can see why.

The terrain is most flat, with only a few gentle hills, but there are still some good views just after Stodmarsh. Their walk has a variety of landscapes, from woods to arable fields, and from a farm growing strawberries in polytunnels to fields with grazing cattle.

CANTERBURY Kent UK 2021 Canterbury Cathedral & City Centre Walk 4K
Join us for a walk in Canterbury, Kent, UK. Our walk starts by Canterbury Cathedral, we take a look around the cathedral grounds, gardens and Cloisters. We then walk around Canterbury City Centre and finish our walk in the beautiful Westgate Gardens.
Canterbury is a cathedral city and UNESCO World Heritage Site, situated in the heart of the City of Canterbury, a local government district of Kent, England. It lies on the River Stour.
Canterbury was a pilgrimage site in the Middle Ages. Ancient walls, originally built by the Romans, encircle its medieval centre with cobbled streets and timber-framed houses. Canterbury Cathedral, founded 597 A.D., is the headquarters of the Church of England and Anglican Communion, incorporating Gothic and Romanesque elements in its stone carvings and stained-glass windows. The city's cathedral became a major focus of pilgrimage following the 1170 martyrdom of Thomas Becket. A journey of pilgrims to Becket's shrine served as the frame for Geoffrey Chaucer's 14th-century classic The Canterbury Tales.
Canterbury is a popular tourist destination: consistently one of the most-visited cities in the United Kingdom, the city's economy is heavily reliant upon tourism.
Many historical structures fill the area, including a city wall founded in Roman times and rebuilt in the 14th century, the ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and a Norman castle, and the oldest extant school in the world, the King's School. Modern additions include the Marlowe Theatre and the St Lawrence Ground, home of the Kent County Cricket Club. There is also a substantial student population, brought about by the presence of the University of Kent, Canterbury Christ Church University, the University for the Creative Arts, and the Girne American University Canterbury campus. Canterbury remains, however, a small city in terms of geographical size and population, when compared with other British cities.

SWC Free Walk 121, Bekesbourne (Sturry) Circular. 22/1/12.
The North-Eastern corner of Kent forms the basis of this week's 11 (12.7 per me) miler. Officially called a Bekesbourne Circular, this walker found it logistically better to start from Sturry; there was some minor deviation twixt Fordwich and Trenley Park wood.
Otherwise, this is a relatively straightforward, anti-clockwise map walk of some typically Kentish scenery - fields, orchards and woodlands.
The Westbere Marshes are now home to the elusive bittern, but it was neither seen nor heard today, unfortunately. Plenty of other bird song though, and my first Snowdrop/Crocus sightings of the year as well.
A very pleasant walk through a quiet corner of the county, near Canterbury. Well worth paying the supplement (though we really shouldn't have a two tier system!) and using the HST from London.

이동시간은 편도 2시간 / 가격은 왕복 15파운드였어요.
저는 런던에 지내는동안 모든 버스 / 기차 예약을 Trainline 어플을 이용해서 했어요!
저는 이 어플이 바코드형 E-ticket을 핸드폰으로 바로 쓸 수 있어서 편하더라구요 :)
캔터베리는 작은 도시라 모든 스팟들을 걸어서 이동할 수 있었고,
저는 웨스트게이트 타워 - 웨스트게이트 가든 - 캔터베리 대성당 이런 코스로 둘러봤답니다.

Little Impetts is a 17th century thatched cottage, it is a later addition to Impetts It is a beautiful thatched cottage set in the East Kent countryside, they were originally two cottages converted to one in the late 20th century, then made into a self contained beautiful cottage. We are within easy reach of the Royal St Georges Golf Club some 25 minutes away by car. We are situated in a quiet lane which is a dead end leading to All saints Church and open fields, also intercepts the well known saxon shore way walk, with walks along the River Stour too. The Parish starts at Plucks Gutter where the river Stour is crossed and continues through the settlements of East Stourmouth & West Stourmouth
