Sirdaryo — Sirdaryo viloyati Sirdaryo tumanidagi shahar, tuman markazi. 1971-yilgacha shahar posyolkasi. Toshkentdan 80 km janubi-gʻarbda, Toshkent — Xovos temir yoʻlidagi stansiya. Sirdaryoning chap sohilida joylashgan. Viloyat markazi Gulistondan 40 km. Aholisi 30 ming kishidan koʻproq (2002). Sirdaryoda tuman hokimiyati binosi, sanoat, transport, aloqa, qurilish korxonalari, banklar mavjud. Paxta tozalash, sut, non, gʻisht zavodlari, MTP, 3 qoʻshma, 80 xususiy va kichik korxona, 50 dan ziyod firma, qandolatchilik, kvas va limonad ishlab chiqarish korxonalari faoliyat koʻrsatadi. Dehqon bozori, supermarket, savdo va maishiy xizmat koʻrsatish shoxobchalari mavjud. Umumiy taʼlim maktablari, ped. kolleji, bolalar sanʼat maktabi, sport maktablari, kasb-hunar maktabi, markaziy stadion, tuman markaziy kasalxonasi, shoshilinch tibbiy yordam boʻlimi, 3 madaniyat uyi, tuman markaziy kutubxonasi va uning tarmoqlari bor. Yangi qurilgan avtovokzal, kasalxona, dorixona va boshqa savdo, maishiy obʼyektlar ishlab turibdi.[1]

Uzbekistan:
Uzbekistan is within the South-Central Asian Union and has borders with other member states of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. It is doubly landlocked, but includes the southern shoreline of the Aral Sea.
Geography
Uzbekistan measures 1450 km West to East and 930 km North to South.
Mostly flat-to-rolling sandy desert with dunes; broad, flat intensely irrigated river valleys along course of Amu Darya, Syr Darya (Sirdaryo) and Zarafshon; Ferghana Valley in east surrounded by mountainous Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan; shrinking Aral Sea in west.
Syr Darya crosses the Ferghana Valley and runs on the North East edge of the Kizil Kum Desert. It is 2212 km long (3019 km including its source Naryn). In antiquity, it was called Jaxartes. Syr Darya flows into the (smaller) Northern part of the Aral Sea.
Amu Darya rises in the Hindukush and has a length of 2540 km. It was called Oxus in antiquity. It can be a rapid river in spring and is called Dsaihun (suffering from rabies) in Arabic. The river has changed its course several times. Konye Urgench in Turkmenistan, the capital of the old empire of Chwarezm, was situated on the banks of the Amu Darya. Today the distance between the river and the old city is about 40 km. Amu Darya flows into the (bigger) Southern part of the Aral Sea.

The Tashkent to Samarkand high-speed rail line is a 344-kilometre (214 mi) high-speed rail connection between Tashkent and Samarkand, the two largest Uzbekistan cities. The route passes through four regions: Tashkent, Sirdaryo, Jazzish and Samarqand in Uzbekistan. Trains operate seven days a week under the brand Afrosiyob. A 141 km long extension to Qureshi started operation on August 22, 2015, though at lower speed of 160 km/h.
Samarqand, is a city in southeastern Uzbekistan and among the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Central Asia. There is evidence of human activity in the area of the city from the late Paleolithic Era, though there is no direct evidence of when Samarkand was founded; several theories propose that it was founded between the 8th and 7th centuries BCE. Prospering from its location on the Silk Road between China and the Mediterranean Sea, at times Samarkand was one of the largest cities of Central Asia.

Tajikistan - Khujand and Fann Mountains

Tajikistan gained independence in 1991, after the collapse of the USSR.
Until 1997, there was a civil war for power between government forces and the Islamic opposition. The conflict claimed an estimated 50,000 lives. President Emomali Rahmon has ruled the country continuously since 1992.
About 10 million people live in Tajikistan. The vast majority of the inhabitants (about 97% of the population) profess Islam.
Khujand is the second largest city in Tajikistan. It is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia.
Panjshanbe Bazaar is the largest in the country. Its name means Thursday.
Mountains cover 93% of Tadjikistan. More than half of the country lies at an altitude above 3000 m above sea level.
Iskanderkul is a picturesque lake in the Fann Mountains. According to a legend, Alexander the Great stopped by this lake, and so the lake was named in his honor (his Persian name was Iskander).
