Silifke Aya Tekla Kilisesi mutlaka görülmesi gereken yerler arasında. Boğsak Koyu Silifke ilçesinde denize girilecek en güzel yerlerden. Silifke Kalesi ihtişamı ile bizleri büyüledi. Silifke Kalesi sonrasında Mersin Taşucu'nda Kasap Ümit'in yerinde yemek yedik. Mersin'in tarihi yerleri oldukça fazla. Mersin Silifke Uzuncaburç bir sürü turist ağırlıyor her yıl. Uzuncaburç yakınlarındaki Olba Antik Kenti'ni mutlaka görmelisiniz. Cambazlı Kilisesi'de mutlaka görülmesi ve gezilmesi gereken yerler arasında. Cennet Cehennem Mağaraları bizi en çok etkileyen yer oldu. Cennet Cehennem Obrukları'nı mutlaka ziyaret etmelisiniz. Mersin Cennet Cehennem Mağaraları yakınında Silifke Astım Mağarası bulunuyor. Silifke Astım Mağarasını görmenizi tavsiye ederiz. Mersin'de ne yenir sorularınıza bir cevap da Mersin sıkması. Mersin sıkmasını Mersin ve Silifke'de pek çok yerde deneyebilirsiniz. Mersin is a large city and a port on the Mediterranean coast of southern Turkey. It is part of an interurban agglomeration – the Adana-Mersin Metropolitan Area – and lies on the western part of Çukurova, a geographical, economic, and cultural region. The city was named after the aromatic plant Myrsine (Greek: Μυρσίνη) in the family Primulaceae, a myrtle that grows in abundance in the area (Turkish: mersin); the 17th-century traveler Evliya Çelebi wrote that there was also a clan named Mersinoğulları.
Mersin is an important hub of Turkey's economy, and Turkey's largest seaport is located in the city. Mersin's nickname within Turkey is Pearl of the Mediterranean (Turkish: Akdeniz'in İncisi) and the city hosted the 2013 Mediterranean Games. Mersin is the provincial capital of the eponymous Mersin Province of Turkey.
As of 2014, the population of the city is 955,106.

It is a historical castle located in Silifke district. Dating to the Hellenistic period, the castle was built on a hill overlooking Silifke district and the Mediterranean.
The castle was built by the Seleucid Empire in the 3rd century BC and later expanded by the Roman Empire in the 2nd century BC. It was used as a military stronghold and served as an important strategic location for the region. The castle has also been used as the residence of various rulers over the centuries, including the Byzantines and Crusaders.
Today the castle is open to the public and is a popular tourist destination in the area. Visitors can explore the castle's many towers, walls and tunnels and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and sea. The castle is also a popular spot for photographing, especially at sunset.

Taşucu, Mersin'in Silifke ilçesine bağlı bir mahalledir. 2018 verilerine göre 9.593 kişilik nüfusu bulunan Taşucu 1955 Türkiye yerel seçimleri ile birlikte belde statüsü kazanmış ve belediye olmuştur. Ancak 2014 yerel seçimleri ile birlikte yürürlüğe giren yeni büyükşehir belediyesi yasası ile birlikte belde tüzel kişiliği kaldırılarak mahalleye dönüştürülmüştür. Bu nedenle 29 Ekim 1994 tarihinde Bergkamen ile yapılan kardeş şehir anlaşması da geçerliliğini kaybetmiştir.
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk dört kez ziyaret ettiği Taşucu'nu doğum yeri olan Selanik'e benzetmekteydi. Buna istinaden Taşucu'nda Taşucu Atatürk Evi inşa edilmiş ve 12 Mayıs 2005'te açılmıştır.
Taşucu'nda tespit edilen en eski yerleşim MÖ 7. yüzyılda buraya yerleşen Greklere aittir ve yerleşim yeri bu dönemde Holmi olarak adlandırılmıştır.[6] Sürekli gerçekleşen korsan baskınları dolayısıyla zor zamanlar yaşayan şehir MÖ 4. yüzyıldan itibaren çöküş dönemine girmiş, Holmi'nin bu zayıf durumunda yararlanan I. Seleukos şehri ele geçirerek Seleukos İmparatorluğu topraklarına katmıştır.[6] I. Selevkos Nikator şehri ele geçirdikten sonra halkı günümüzde Silifke'nin bulunduğu yere göç ettirmiş ve Seleukeia ad Kalykadnos kentini kurmuştur.[6] Bu dönemden sonra MÖ 1. yüzyılda Roma, 7. yüzyılda Emevî ve Abbâsî, 13. yüzyılda Selçuklu Hanedanı, 14. yüzyılda Karamanoğullarının eline geçen Taşucu 1471 yılında Gedik Ahmed Paşa tarafından Osmanlı topraklarına katılmıştır.[6] 1923 yılında Türkiye Cumhuriyetinin ilan edilmesi ile birlikte de Mersin'e bağlı bir birim olarak tanımlanmıştır.
Taşucu'nda yalnızca Türkiye'nin değil, dünyanın bu enlemde görülen en endemik iklim türü olan subtropikal iklim görülmektedir. Akdeniz kıyısında olmasına karşın çevresindeki Orta Toroslar nedeniyle sıcaklık yıl boyunca yüksek ve sıcaklık farkı son derece azdır. Yıllık ortalaması ise 24 derece ile dünyanın tüm 36. enlemlerinde görülen ortalamaların en yükseğidir. Dünyadaki tüm tropikal bitkiler, burada rahatça yetiştirilebilmektedir.
1968 yılında Taşucu Balıkçılık Festivali adıyla düzenlenmeye başlanan[14] ve 1994'te Taşucu Çevre Festivali adını alan festival her yıl Taşucu Festival Alanı'nda düzenlenmektedir. Yine her yıl yaz aylarında yapılan Taşucu Belediyesi Plaj Voleybolu Turnuvası, yerli sporcuların yanı sıra eski kardeş şehir Bergkamen'den gelen sporcularla birlikte düzenlenmektedir.[15]
Ayrıca 3 Eylül 1970 yılında kurulan mavi-beyaz renklere sahip Taşucuspor ise Taşucu'nu futbol branşında Mersin 1. Amatör Küme Büyükler Ligi'nde temsil etmekte ve Akdeniz Şeytanları olarak anılmaktadır.[16]
Taşucu'ndaki bulunan Taşucu Aslan Eyce Amfora Müzesi türünün tek örneğidir.
