I travelled on Ravi express from Lahore to Shorkot on 15 May 2022, Lahore to shorkot cantt fare is 370/Rs
train departs at 3:30 pm and reached Shorkot cantt by 10:00 pm
it take main line 1 (Lahore to Shahdara bagh)
then divert on Shahdara bagh-Sangla Hill branch line,
aftfer reaching Shaikhupura ravi exp divert on Shaikhupura-Shorkot branch line, at this route train passed through Warburton, Buchiana, Jaranwala, Tandlianwala, Kanjwani, Nankana sahib, Mamukanjan, Kamalia and Pir Mahal,

Blessing in Disguise | Exploring Classic Branch Line with Ravi Express | Shorkot Cantt to Lahore
Hello Everyone, Today I am here with a brand new train journey vlog in which I covered a unique branch line train, Ravi Express. This train runs between Lahore Junction and Shorkot Cantonment Junction via Shorkot-Sheikhupura branch line, however, it is a night time train and its half travel from both sides remain in darkness. I had to travel 121UP Ravi Express from Shorkot which starts at 3 AM but due to failed locomotive earlier, it started journey between 7-8 AM resulting in classic coverage of this branch line. Cities like Pir Mahal, Kamalia, Mamu Kanjan, Kajwani, Tandlianwala etc which always pass in darkness, were captured by me in daytime. So it was a blessing in disguise type of journey for me.
So, sit back, relax and enjoy journey of this only train of this branch line.

Train Travel From Faisalabad to Shorkot cantt junction, My train just before Accident
I started my journey on 26th may 2021 from Faisalabad Railway Station to Shorkot cantt junction, it was a hot day and my train 46Down Pakistan Express was 10 minutes late, I took the open economy class ticket and stayed at the platform.
Pakistan Express arrived with 11 coaches and more 10 coaches were added at faisalabad,
HBU20 locomotive was also replaced with 3200HP EMD locomotive... HGMU30,
we started our journey and train was running fast after half of hour we reached Gojra Railway station, Gojra is famous for Hockey players and it produced dozens of international hockey players and Olympians for Pakistan hockey team,
we also met 35up sir syed Express there and then we headed to Toba tek Singh station,
train was running at 110kmh then emergency breaks were applied by loco pilot (train driver), my train been collided with a mini truck at unmanned level crossing and the driver of the truck left the truck on the track and run away, luckily there wasn't any casualty or injury except the damaged locomotive and the scraped mini truck, I captured all that accident sequence live, here is the link of that video...
we spent 45 minutes at the spot and police did the job and filed the FIR against the truck driver,
after departure from there we reached Toba tek Singh and there were more passengers were waiting for their train,
I have to left my seat because a family boarded my compartment have have booked that seats,
I went to the joint of the 2 compartments and remaining half hour journey was filmed there,
at last we reached Shorkot cantt junction Railway station by 4:00pm, overall journey was good except the incident.....

Hello Everyone, Today I am here with a brand new vlog about a well spent railfanning day at Shorkot Cantonment Junction Railway Station. This is Pakistan Railways one of huge junction station situated on border of Multan division and Lahore division. It used to be very busy but now it remains deserted most of the day. One unique thing about this railway station is that, its one platform lies in Jhang district while the other lies in Toba Tek Singh district.
In this short video, I explore its Platforms, Junction points, Dak Bungalow, Loco shed, Drivers Running Room etc. So sit back, relax and enjoy this short but sweet vlog.

The Ravi (Punjabi: ਰਾਵੀ, Urdu: راوی, Sanskrit: इरावती, परुष्णि, Hindi: रावी) is a trans-boundary river flowing through Northwestern India and eastern Pakistan. It is one of the six rivers of the Indus System in Punjab region (name of Punjab means Five Rivers). The waters of Ravi are allocated to India under Indus Water Treaty.
Under the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960, the waters of the Ravi and five other rivers are divided between India and Pakistan. Subsequently, the Indus Basin Project has been developed in Pakistan and many inter-basin water transfers, irrigation, hydropower and multipurpose projects have been built in India.
Shorkot (Urdu: شورکوٹ), (Punjabi: شورکوٹ), is a city in the Punjab, Pakistan. It is also a capital city of Shorkot Tehsil in Jhang district. It is located at 30°30'N 72°24'E with an altitude of 131 metres (433 ft). The city is famous for the tombs of Sufis Sultan Bahoo, Syed Bahadur Ali Shah, Shah Mehmood Ghazi (also known as Ghazi Pir) and Syed Mehboob Alam Shah Gilani. The tomb of the latter is in the centre of the town. He was sent to the Shorkot by the Mughal Emperor Shah Alam, to spread Islam.
