Eğirdir Gölü
Dik kayalara, düz ve sığ bir tabana sahip olan gölün kıyı uzunluğu 150 km dir.
Eğirdir Gölü’nde Kemer Boğazın Kuzeyinde yer alan bölümü Hoyran, Güneyinde yer alan bölümü Eğirdir bölümü olarak bilinmektedir.
Eğirdir Gölü’nün yüzey alanı insanların su kullanımına bağlı olarak farklılık göstermektedir. Karstik yapıdaki gölün özelikle batı kesimlerinde yer alan düdenlerin bir kısmı kapatılmıştır. Farklı amaçlarla kullanılmak üzere (içme suyu, tarım vb.) gölde DSİ tarafından çok sayıda pompaj istasyonları kurulmuştur.
Eğirdir Gölü’nün en önemli özeliklerinden bir diğeri denizle olan bağlantısıdır. Kovada kanalı ile Kovada Gölü’ne gelen sular Kovada Vadisi’nden, Aksu Çayı’na oradan da karstik yollarla Akdeniz’e boşalmakta idi. Son yirmi yıldır gölün suları Çandır Ovası’nda yaptırılan Karacaören I ve II Barajlarına gelmektedir. Eğirdir Gölü ile Kovada Gölü arasında doğal bağlantıyı oluşturan 22 km’lik Kovada KanalI yer almaktadır. Kemer Boğazı; Doğu-Batı doğrultusunda daralma göstererek yaklaşık (göldeki su sevisine bağlı olarak farklılık arz etmekte) 1,8 km’lik mesafe ile gölün iki bölümlü görünüm almasına neden olmaktadır.
Eğirdir göl çukurluğunun plüvyal dönemlerdeki karstik olaylar sonucu oluştuğu ve yine bu dönemde su ile dolduğu belirtilmiştir. Göl çukurluğunun tektonik kökenli, su birikiminin Neojen sonrasında geliştiğini. Holosen'de büyük bir polyenin çökmesi sonucu ortaya çıktığını, göl içindeki küçük adaların da bunun delili olduğunu söylemektedir. tektonik kökenli çukurluğun karstik olaylarla mevcut şeklini kazandığını gölün plüvyal dönemde geliştiğini belirtmiştir. Anadolu'nun eski iklimi ile birleştirilerek Eğirdir dahil yöredeki büyük su kütleleri plüvyal göller şeklinde gruplandırılmaktadır. Kaynağı Gölcük, maar volkanizması olan döküntü tüllerin kolüvyum konileri içinde yer alabilmesi, Eğirdir' gölünü çevreleyen yamaçların en azından Orta-Üst Pliyosen öncesinde yaratılması ile mümkündür.
Türkiye’nin en büyük 2. tatlı su gölüdür. Eğirdir Gölü’nün maksimum su kotu ile çevrelenen su alanı “I. Derece Doğal Sit Alanı” olarak belirlenmiştir. Maksimum su kotundan itibaren 300 metrelik bir bant ise “III. Derece Doğal Sit Alanı” olarak kabul edilmiştir. Eğirdir Gölü, “A Sınıfı Sulak Alan” listesindedir Eğirdir Gölü havzası içerisinde Kovada Gölü Milli Parkı ve Gelincik Dağı Tabiat Parkı bulunmaktadır. Gölü besleyen en önemli su girdileri; gölün tabanından kaynayan su kaynaklarıdır. Aynı zamanda çevre dağlardan inen ve yağış suları ile beslenen irili ufaklı çok sayıda dere ve çay vardır. Bunlardan en önemlileri; Yalvaç ilçesinden gelen ve Gelendost ilçesinden göle karışan Akçay, Uluborlu ve Senirkent ilçelerinden geçerek göle inen Pupa Çayı, Hoyran ovasından inen Değirmen Çayı ve Aksu çayından bir kanalla göle bağlanan Aksu Deresi’dir. Eğirdir Gölü, Isparta ilinin ve çevresindeki yerleşim birimlerinin içme suyu ihtiyacını karşılar. Aynı zamanda Isparta, Gönen, Uluborlu, Senirkent, Yalvaç, Gelendost ve Eğirdir ovalarında sulama suyu olarak kullanılır.
Ovaların göl kıyılarına açıldığı gölün sığ kısımları tamamen saz ve kamışlarla kaplıdır. Göl, kapalı havzaya sahip olduğu halde tabanından bol miktarda kaynak suları ile beslenmekte ve göl suyunun 1/3’ü her yıl yenilenmektedir. Gölün giderleri, DSİ pompa istasyonları, Kovada Kanalı ve yazları aşırı buharlaşmadır.
Gölde bulunan balık türleri Sazan, Çim Sazanı, Sudak, Eğrez ve son yıllarda ortaya çıkan Gümüş balığıdır. Kerevit, Yengeç, Su yılanı, Su faresi, Kurbağa ve Su kaplumbağası da gölde bulunan diğer canlılardır. Göl, yaban hayatı için de önemli bir yer tutar. Tepeli dalgıç, Yumurta piçi, Karabatak, Balıkçıl türleri, Angıt, Bozkaz, Sakar meke, Benekli su tavuğu, Uzunbacak, Bıyıklı sumru, Saz delicesi, Martı çeşitleri gibi yerli türler ile birlikte Pelikan, Flamingo, Kuğu, Sakarca kazı, Bozkaz, Fiyu, Kılkuyruk, Yeşilbaş, Elma baş, Macar, Kız kuşu, Su çulluğu ve Tepeli pakta gibi kışlayan ve konaklayan türleri bünyesinde barındırır.
Gölde, Eğirdir’e bir karayoluyla bağlanmış bulunan iki küçük adacık bulunmaktadır. Birincisi Can Ada, ikincisi ise Yeşilada’dır.

We arrive with the dawn. Skopje.
There’s a rumor of hundreds and hundreds of statues being recently built in Skopje. People don’t seem to like them. They say they are ugly and too much everywhere. Well, they really are around the town in a never seen quantity, but we liked it. It’s crazy, yes, but cool, even really cool, we think.
All in all a very cheerful morning atmosphere in Skopje.
Kaja’s mom knows a guy in Skopje too, but it’s too early in the morning to contact him. We come to the old center, a very pretty place, and there we see an old guy just opening a tea shop. It’s cold outside and we are sleepy so we ask him to wait inside until he makes the tea and other preparations. He’s fine with that, but it takes him an hour and a half to make the tea.
Ah, what a tea!
We contact that guy, his name is Vladimir, me meet him in the center. He takes us to his home, we meet the rest of his family, take showers. And sleep for 22 hours…
When we wake up we take a bus to Shutka, a gypsy town in the outskirts of Skopje, the biggest gypsy town in the world, some 15000 gypsies in one place. The plan is to go to Shutka ask the gypsies what they think about the refugees and the refugee crisis.
It’s a rainy day. It takes some half hour to come there.
Shutka is not a nice place. It’s much less romantic then one would imagine. It’s basically built in an enormous pile of garbage.
Raif is particularly disappointed.
But as any other place in the world, Shutka also has a center, so we sit there to have a burger. Not a nice burger.
Later we meet a woman called Fatma and we come to her house for a coffee. She lives with her husband and six kids in a small house without electricity or running water. She tells us that the refugees get on her nerves because the government is now helping them, and for gypsy people they do nothing. But she doesn’t want to say bad things, knowing how difficult it is for refugees. She was also a refugee twenty years ago, in Bosnia. There she had a nice house, her children were born there, but then she got deported back to Macedonia with a promise from some party that they will help roma people if they vote for them on governmental elections. So she voted, the party won, but help never came. Now she plans to go to France to visit her oldest daughter who got married there.
It gets dark, so we say goodbye to Fatma and the kids and take their phone number to stay in contact. We go to Vladimir’s place, pick up our stuff and say goodbye to our hosts and head for the bus station. There we wait for the bus, making ourselves cozy already used to living on the stations.

Özellikle bunlardan biri olan, Eurymedon, Aspendos antik şehrini Akdeniz’e bağlayarak tarihte önemli roller üslenmiştir. Eski adıyla Eurymedon, şimdiki ismiyle Köprüçayı ya da Köprüpazar çayı olarak bilinen bu akarsu günümüzde önemini hala korumaktadır.
Köprülü Kanyon Milli Parkı Köprüçay Nehrinin muhteşem doğa sanatında ormanda yaşama hayalinizi gerçekleştirmenin tam zamanıdır. Burada sağlık ve yeşil ilişkisinin gerçek gizemlerini öğrenin! Yeşilliği bol sahada yaşayan kadınların ölüm riskinin yeşil alanı en az alanlarda yaşayan kadınlara göre %18 daha azdır. Doğaya yakın veya içinde yaşayan kadınlarda solunum sebepli ölümcül hastalıklar %25 ve kanser ise %10 daha azdır.
Burada doğanın içinde yaşayan kadınlar hava kirliliği, aşırı sıcak ve çevre kirliliği gibi sorunlara daha fazla uzak olup hormon sistemi daha düzgün çalışır. Oysa yeşil alanlar insanların fiziksel ve sosyal aktivitelerini çok daha fazla teşvik ediyor. Stres oranları oldukça düşük oluyor. Ağaçlar arasında yaşamak depresyon oranlarını düşürmesinin yanı sıra zihinsel sağlığı da artırıyor.
Yeşilin oksijen üretim alanında yaşamak; moral oranlarını en yüksek seviyede tutmaya fazlasıyla yeter. Doğanın zihinsel sağlığa etkileri saymakla bitmez. Çocuklarınızın doğa bilincinin geliştirilmesi ve sağlıklı gelişimi için mutlaka hafta sonlarınızı doğanın bu huzur noktalarında geçirmeniz gerekiyor.
Köprüçay, Isparta’nın Eğirdir ilçesinde Anamas Dağ zincirinin en yüksek zirvesi 2996 m. rakımlı Dedegöl Dağından doğup 160 km’lik yolculuktan sonra Serik Boğazkent’te Akdeniz’e dökülür.
