Awesome town modeled after Seaside, Florida. The book shop is amazing, tons of interesting books, fun games, and a wide variety of puzzles. Restaurants and shops are really nice, they are currently building a full service grocery store. The houses are the jewel of this community, all kinds of different styles and floorplans! Each of the neighborhoods has a shared outside area with chairs, firepit, and free fire wood available. To many amenities and perks to list, definitely visit for a good time. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an RV park. 75% of the houses are in the vacation rental pool, 25% are occupied by the owners. Would be awesome if they ever made a Truman Show 2 movie and filmed it here!

A first look at Seabrook's gateway to adventure. Fernwood is a neighborhood east of the Farm District Neighborhood. This new addition to Washington's beach town is ideally positioned with the new outdoor pool and beach access to the west, 160 acres of mountain bike trails to the east, and a new retail hub and pickleball destination to the north. Homes in this neighborhood range from 1 bedroom homes all the way to expansive Garden Lots.

SEABROOK ISLAND TRIP (DOLPHINS & BEACH BIKING/WALKING) October 22-27, 2022
South Carolina's Low Country has lots of good beach destinations, but Amy and my favorite is south of Charleston, at either Kiawah or Seabrook Islands. We spent several fall days on Seabrook Island recently with fewer people than during the high tourist season but with quite good weather. Our condominium was right on a sandy beach overlooking sand dunes and the North Edisto River Sound, with the ocean to the left. And we especially liked the walk from the condo to Privateer Point which is surrounded by natural areas, ocean, forest and marsh. Except for a great dinner at La Tela Pizzeria we cooked equally good meals at the condo and spent our time walking and biking on the beach, reading on the beach or condo deck, and looking for dolphins in the ocean, of which we saw more than ever before, along with bald eagles and ospreys in the air.
