The city is famous worldwide for the San Fermín festival, from July 7 to 14, in which the running of the bulls or encierro is one of the main attractions. This fiesta, known as Sanfermines to the local population, was first brought to widespread attention by Ernest Hemingway in his first novel, The Sun Also Rises.

SPAIN : Pamplona Fiesta de San Fermin - Recortes (Bull-leaping) パンプローナの牛追い祭 レコルテス（ブル・リーピング）
2011年7月10日、スペイン北部ナバラ州パンプローナで行われたサン・フェルミン（牛追い祭り）でのレコルテス（あるいはコルテス、英語ではブル・リーピング）と呼ばれる牛を傷つけない闘牛の模様です。マドリッド以北で行われている闘牛の一種目らしいです。牛をギリギリでかわすほど良い評価が得られます。牛は通常の闘牛と同じく凶暴、一歩間違えるとかなり痛い目にあいます。

It’s a walking tour along the Bull Run route in Pamplona during the San Fermin Festivals 2022. We started walking near the Plaza de Toros (end of run), to Telefónica, Estafeta, Mercaderes, Plaza de Ayuntamiento, down to Santo Domingo (run begins) on 9 July 2022.
Alto del Perdon - Camino de Santiago
There is many special places along the Camino Frances. Alto del person - the hill of forgiveness is one of them. From Alto del Perdon you can see towards Pamplona and the Pyrenees. A really beautiful sight. Its also a place were the old path meet with the 21th century and the modern wind turbines. The sculptures share the hill with 40 wind turbines.
Alto del Perdon is located 10,5 km south-west of Pamplona about 750 metres above sea level. Your ascent starts at the small village of Zariquiegui and the climb is gradual until you reach the top. You will see a sculpture depicting a number of Pilgrims either on foot or on horseback as they make their way along the Camino to Santiago. It is dedicated to pilgrims who have walked the Camino before us and was erected in 1996. If you look closely, you will see «Donde se cruza el camino del viento con el de las estrellas» engraved into one of the monuments. That is Spanish and means something like; «where the path of the wind crosses that of the stars.»

Egüés .. una localidad española y un concejo de la Comunidad Foral de Navarra perteneciente al municipio del Valle de Egüés. Está situado en la Merindad de Sangüesa, en la Cuenca de Pamplona y a 9,2 km de la capital
La localidad de Egüés está situado en el centro del valle a una altitud de 503 msnm
Fue la capital del valle hasta que la sede del ayuntamiento fue trasladada a Sarriguren en 2011 .Lizarraga pertenece al Pirineo Navarro, englobado en la llamada Montaña Navarra. La localidad limita, por el norte, con Idoate, valle de Izagaondoa, y Urroz; por el sur con Unciti y Najurieta ,ambos del valle de Unciti; por el este con Artáiz, valle de Unciti, y Mendinueta, valle de Izagaondoa; y por el oeste con Ilundáin, en el valle de Aranguren.
La primera referencia a Lizarraga data del año 928, En 1210, Lizarraga e Idoate reciben los fueros sobre el pago de las pechas de manos del rey de Navarra Sancho VII el Fuerte. En 1532, los vecinos de Lizarraga reciben, en forma de Censo Perpetuo firmado con Miguel de Azpilicueta, hermano de San Francisco Javier, el derecho a trabajar las tierras del despoblado de Santa Constanza, dentro de las cuales se encuentra el Gran Roble de Lizarraga

WATCH: Spain's Pamplona bull-running fest back with a bang after COVID ban
Thousands of revellers wearing white clothes and red scarves filled the streets of Spain's Pamplona on Wednesday (July 6) as the bang of a firecracker kicked off the first San Fermin bull-running festival since the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020.
Light rain did nothing to dampen the spirits of a sea of people packing the town square, their clothes already drenched with the red wine and sangria that flow freely during the eight-day festival, made famous in Ernest Hemingway's novel The Sun Also Rises.
The annual event, which animal rights groups want banned for good, was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to coronavirus restrictions.
The runs, during which six purpose-bred fighting bulls chase runners through Pamplona's narrow, cobbled streets over a stretch of 800 metres (0.5 mile), will start on Thursday (July 7) and continue for a week.
They are usually at their most dangerous over the weekend due to larger crowds.
There are eight runs in total, each usually lasting between three and five minutes before ending at the city's bullring, where the animals are corralled before reappearing in the evening bullfight, when they are killed.
Dozens of animal rights activists wearing dinosaur costumes protested on Tuesday (July 5) in Pamplona, chanting bullfighting is prehistoric!
But the risk is very real for the human runners, too.
At least 16 runners have lost their lives down the years, the last casualty being a man gored by a bull in 2009.
