Sargodha is the 11th largest city of Punjab, Pakistan which is bordered with Mianwali, Khushab, Chiniot, Jehlum and Hafizabad.
Sargodha was granted divisional status in 1960s including district Sargodha, District Khushab, District Bhakkar and District Mianwali. Sargodha is also know as the City of Eagles (Shaheenon Ka Shehar).
Sargodha was established in 1903 by Lady trooper in british era. Sargodha was very strategic small town in british era due to which Royal Air Force built an airport in Sargodha which was later on the most important airport for Pakistan Air Force as well.
It lies about 48 KM from M-2 motorway which connects Lahore and Islamabad.
Sargodha mainly comprises flat, fertile plains; although here are a few small hills on the Sargodha-Faisalabad Road. The River Jhelum flows on the western and northern sides, and the River Chenab lies on the eastern side of the city. The city is located 190 metres above sea level.
The most famous educational institutes of Sargodha are University of Sargodha, University College of Agriculture, University of Lahore Sargodha Campus, UCP Sargodha Campus, Sargodha Medical College, Airbase Inter College, Army Public School and College Sargodha, Cornelius Law College Sargodha, Lagix College, Punjab College, Quaid E Azam Law College Sargodha, Sargodha institute of Health Sciences, Sargodha institute of Technology, Cadet College Sargodha and Superior college Sargodha.
Famous schools are beaconhouse, Dar-e arqam, PAF Public school, presentation convent high school, army public school and lasani grammar high school.
Sargodha is connected with other cities of Pakistan through road, rail and air services.
The most famous places and towns of Sargodha are; Bhera, Dharema, Silanwali, Shahpur Sadar, Satellite Town, Iqbal Colony, 47 Adda, Qainchi Morr, University Road, Main Lari Adda, Noori Gate, Bypass, Sargodha Stadium and Kirana hills.
One of the famous food hub in Sargodha is Khayam Chowk. Samosas & Pakoras of Khayam Chowk are very famous among people of Sargodha.
Sargodha is also very famous for its glowing and lush green orange orchards. It is the largest Kinno producing districts of world and is called “California of Pakistan”.
The city has a climate of extreme heat in the summers and moderate cold in the winters. The maximum temperature reaches 50 °C (122 °F) in the summer while the minimum temperature recorded is as low as freezing point in the winter.
Pakistan's largest airbase, PAF Base Mushaf (formerly PAF Base Sargodha), is situated in Sargodha and hosts the headquarters of the Pakistan Air Force's Central Air Command. The airbase is also home to the Combat Commanders School (CCS), formerly the Fighter Leader's School.
Sargodha hosts MELA MAWESHIAN each year. It is so much popular that Sargodha Cricket stadium is known as MELA MAWESHIAN GROUND.
Sargodha is largey an agricultural and industrial city.
Sargodha has also one textile mill named as SULTAN TEXTILE MILL. This mill is a major source of income for poor people of Sargodha.
Rice Processing plants include factory of famous rice processing group of Pakistani called, OMNI RICE MILLS Pvt. Ltd.
In juices factories sector, there are two major groups who are producers of juices are running their factories in Sargodha district. One is Nestle and second is Shezan.
History of Sargodha is very rich and a thousands of years old.
Kirana Hills, Mela Mandi Ground, Company Bagh, Soon Valley, Remount Depot Mona, Sher Shah Suri Mosque Bhera, Lake Anwaar, Citrus Fields, Bhera Mosque, Noori Ashaab and Bhera Gates are the most famous and worth seeing visiting places of Sargodha.

Sargodha was granted divisional status in 1960s including district Sargodha, District Khushab, District Bhakkar and District Mianwali. Sargodha is also know as the City of Eagles (Shaheenon Ka Shehar). Sargodha was established in 1903 by Lady trooper in british era. Sargodha was very strategic small town in british era due to which Royal Air Force built an airport in Sargodha which was later on the most important airport for Pakistan Air Force as well. It lies about 48 KM from M-2 motorway which connects Lahore and Islamabad. Sargodha mainly comprises flat, fertile plains; although here are a few small hills on the Sargodha-Faisalabad Road. The River Jhelum flows on the western and northern sides, and the River Chenab lies on the eastern side of the city. The city is located 190 metres above sea level. The most famous educational institutes of Sargodha are University of Sargodha, University College of Agriculture, University of Lahore Sargodha Campus, UCP Sargodha Campus, Sargodha Medical College, Airbase Inter College, Army Public School and College Sargodha, Cornelius Law College Sargodha, Lagix College, Punjab College, Quaid E Azam Law College Sargodha, Sargodha institute of Health Sciences, Sargodha institute of Technology, Cadet College Sargodha and Superior college Sargodha. Famous schools are beaconhouse, Dar-e arqam, PAF Public school, presentation convent high school, army public school and lasani grammar high school. Sargodha is connected with other cities of Pakistan through road, rail and air services. The most famous places and towns of Sargodha are; Bhera, Dharema, Silanwali, Shahpur Sadar, Satellite Town, Iqbal Colony, 47 Adda, Qainchi Morr, University Road, Main Lari Adda, Noori Gate, Bypass, Sargodha Stadium and Kirana hills. One of the famous food hub in Sargodha is Khayam Chowk. Samosas & Pakoras of Khayam Chowk are very famous among people of Sargodha. Sargodha is also very famous for its glowing and lush green orange orchards. It is the largest Kinno producing districts of world and is called “California of Pakistan”. The city has a climate of extreme heat in the summers and moderate cold in the winters. The maximum temperature reaches 50 °C (122 °F) in the summer while the minimum temperature recorded is as low as freezing point in the winter. Pakistan's largest airbase, PAF Base Mushaf (formerly PAF Base Sargodha), is situated in Sargodha and hosts the headquarters of the Pakistan Air Force's Central Air Command. The airbase is also home to the Combat Commanders School (CCS), formerly the Fighter Leader's School. Sargodha hosts MELA MAWESHIAN each year. It is so much popular that Sargodha Cricket stadium is known as MELA MAWESHIAN GROUND. Sargodha is largey an agricultural and industrial city. Sargodha has also one textile mill named as SULTAN TEXTILE MILL. This mill is a major source of income for poor people of Sargodha. Rice Processing plants include factory of famous rice processing group of Pakistani called, OMNI RICE MILLS Pvt. Ltd. In juices factories sector, there are two major groups who are producers of juices are running their factories in Sargodha district. One is Nestle and second is Shezan. History of Sargodha is very rich and a thousands of years old. Kirana Hills, Mela Mandi Ground, Company Bagh, Soon Valley, Remount Depot Mona, Sher Shah Suri Mosque Bhera, Lake Anwaar, Citrus Fields, Bhera Mosque, Noori Ashaab and Bhera Gates are the most famous and worth seeing visiting places of Sargodha.
