The peninsula in Mallorca has stunning views, sandy beaches and is home to the island's original luxury hotel. Here, you will find scenery you thought you could only wish for. With cliffs up to 400 metres tall by the sea, this is a must-do in Mallorca!
Castell de Bellver 1:54
This castle was built in the 14th-century with a unique round tower and is the only one of its kind in Spain. The castle first served as the residence of the Kings of Mallorca and was then turned into a military prison throughout the 18th to mid-20th century. Today, it has become one of the main tourist attractions of the island.
Cateral Basilica de Santa Maria de Mallorca 2:40
This gothic cathedral is Mallorca’s major architectural landmark. Its beautiful interior features were designed by Antoni Gaudí and Miquel Barceló and make this cathedral unlike any other in the world.
Drach caves 3:52
Located on the east coast of Mallorca, specifically in the town of Porto Cristo, these caves are some of the most remarkable in the world. These caves contain large underground lakes which are considered one of the largest of its kind on the planet.

8 PLACES TO VISIT IN MALLORCA
Mallorca, also spelt Majorca is the largest island in the Balearic Islands, which are part of Spain and located in the Mediterranean Sea.
Places to visit in Mallorca:
1. Palma de Mallorca, is the capital and largest city of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands in Spain.
Attractions: Palma Cathedral, Belliver Castle, The port and marina, Placa Major etc.
2. Port de Soller, Port of Soller is little town situated in one of Mallorca's most beautiful harbours on the west coast.A tramway connecting the town to Sóller, opened in 1913 and is about 5 km long.
3.Sa Calobra, It is one of the most famous spots on Majorca.There are two separate beaches in this cove. When you arrive (by car, coach or boat) in Sa Calobra you will see a small stony beach in front of a restaurant. If you follow the paved path to the right you will come to a short, narrow tunnel from which you will get on to the main Sa Calobra. GO IN THE MORNING OR LATE EVENING!!! It can be very busy.
4.Calo des Moro, is one of those picture perfect beaches. It is located in the south east of the island, six kilometres from Santanyí. It is on private land but it is open to the public, they even had a plan to build an hotel here but it was prevented. We park quite far from the beach, there is a sign that tells you that the road is private.
5. Cap de Formentor; GO IN THE MORNING OR LATE AFTERNNON, it was end of september and it was very busy.I t is an amazing experience to drive there, but be carreful there is a lot of trafic.
6. Alcudia, It is the main tourist centre in the North of Mallorca but the the hotels are mainly concentrated outside the town. Alcudia, the old town is well preserved with houses dating back to the 13th century and it is surrounded by a medieval wall.
7. Cala Figuera, the pictoresque village is part of district of Santaniy. The place has been spared of the mass commercialisation, so is not that is easy to get here by public transport.
8. Cala Mondrago, is one of Mallorca's best beaches, mainly becuase the area was declared a national park since 1992, protecting the area from building hotels or anything else. It can be a very busy place, so expect a lot of tourist. My favorite thing about this place is the national park ,you can do a lot of walks there.
Others places to visit: Deia, Valldemossa, Lluc, Port d'Andratx, Santanyi, Coves del Drac.
Beaches: Es Trenc, Cala Formentor, Playa de Muro, Cala Llombards, Cala Mesquida, Cala Gat.

Markt in Santanyí & Cala Santanyí mit Es Pontas - Ausflug auf Mallorca
Wir besuchen den Markt in Santanyí und fahren anschließend weiter zur Cala Santanyí, wo wir den Miardor Es Pontas und das Equilibrio Süd besuchen, bevor wir an der Platja de Santanyí Pa Amb Oli verspeisen. Auf dem Rückweg machen wir noch einen kurzen Abstecher zur Cala Pi und nach Llucmajor.

In Santanyí findet jeden Mittwoch und Samstag ein Markt statt, den wir besuchen wollen. Der Markt verteilt sich in der ganzen Innenstadt rund um die Kirche in den Straßen und bietet neben lokalen Spezialitäten auch Kunsthandwerk und viele weitere Dinge an. Anschließend fahren wir weiter zur Cala Santanyí, die man in gut 10 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichen kann. Dort machen wir erst die kurze Wanderung zum Mirador Es Pontas und zum Equilibrio Süd, bevor wir unten am Strand von Cala Santanyí ein paar Pa Amb Oli verspeisen und das Wetter bei einem eiskalten Bier genießen.
Nach dieser kleinen Mittagspause machen wir auf dem Rückweg zurück an die Platja de Palma noch einen kurzen Abstecher zur Cala Pi um oberhalb der Bucht und des Strandes die Aussicht am Instagram-Felsen zu genießen. Ich habe keine Ahnung, wie dieser Ort wirklich heißt, aber da es sich um einen der beliebtesten Instagram-Foto-Spots der Insel handelt, nenne ich ihn einfach immer so. ;-) Von der Cala Pi ist es nur noch ein kleiner Sprung nach Llucmajor, wo wir noch ein wenig durch den Ortskern rund um die Plaça Espanya bummeln, bevor es wieder zurückgeht in unser Apartment an der Platja de Palma.

Santanyí is a small town on the Spanish island of Majorca. It is one of the Balearic Islands located in the western part of the Mediterranean Sea. Welcome to Mirador de Es Pontàs and let's explore this wonderful place together. Es Pontàs (Catalan for big bridge) is a natural limestone arch in the southeastern part of the island of Mallorca, Spain. The arch is located on the coast between Cala Santanyí and Cala Llombards in the municipality of Santanyí and is approximately 20 meters (66 ft) high. Es Pontàs is only accessible by boat or you have to swim to it and climb it. It is a popular scenic photo spot for tourists in Mallorca, especially at sunrise and sunset. The natural arch of Es Pontàs is best photographed from the viewpoint Mirador Es Pontas, which is only accessible on foot. Not far from Es Pontàs is Cala Santanyí Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Mallorca. The waters here are clear and ideal for good snorkeling. Cala Santanyí can get crowded in the summer, but it is a Blue Flag beach. On Cala Santanyí beach, you can stay at Pinos Playa hotels, Hotel Apartamentos Cala Santanyí, Hostal Playa Cala Santanyi, Apartamentos Drac, Hostal Palmaria and others.
