The word refers to a section of beach on the Balearic island stereotypically frequented by Germans – some of them behaving badly. For the locals, this kind of tourism has been problematic for a while, defining the island's reputation as a place to party – and not much else besides.

Mallorca Road Trip ???????? The most scenic drive to Beaches & Lighthouse 4K

Hey everyone???? Join me on Mallorca's Best Hidden Gems on a Road Trip to the Island's Majestic Lighthouse, beaches and scenic drive in 4K'video! We're kicking off in the vibrant heart of Palma de Mallorca, ready for a journey full of surprises in beautiful Spain!

First up, we head west to Mirador d'en Ricardo Roca – talk about a view that'll leave you speechless! Then, it's a quick, charming pitstop in Valldemossa, where every corner is a postcard moment.

MALLORCA DESTINATIONS 4K - Can Picafort

Can Picafort is a coastal town of Mallorca in the municipality of Santa Margalida. It is located in the Bay of Alcudia, about 10 kilometers from Santa Margarita, in the northeast of the city of Palma, on the north coast of the island. It is also located between two very important natural parks: Parc Natural de S’Albufera and Finca Pública de Son Real.

This place is one of the main tourist areas of the island and offers a variety of services and attractions that each year enjoyed by visitors from all over Europe, but mainly from Germany and the UK, who choose Can Picafort to enjoy their holidays.

Can Picafort story starts just over a century ago when some wealthy families in Santa Margalida decided to build their summer homes in this area.

Today Can Picafort is a tourist destination of Mallorca which has a wide range of hotels and restaurants. In the early 70s, Can Picafort was a small fishing village with 200 inhabitants. With the passage of time was transformed into a resort with almost 10,000 hotel beds.

Our brand-new jewel Es Boquerro C'an Lau is situated in the beautiful north of Majorca, just a minute away from the historical village Santa Margarita. The estate is surrounded by typical Mallorcan landscape with beautiful views of the countryside, creating a great holiday atmosphere. For all travelers who appreciate tranquility and nature, this villa is the ideal holiday paradise. The S'Albufera nature reserve bordering Santa Margarita is a must for hikers. Shopping can be done directly in Santa Margarita or you can go to the nearby Sa Pobla. Every Tuesday in the week is market in Santa Margarita. The marvelous coastal areas such as Can Picafort, Son Serra de Marina and Platja de Muro, with their white sand beaches and turquoise waters, are only a short 10-minute drive away.

The 14,000 m² property is completely fenced and offers a lot of peace and privacy thanks to its wonderful location. Even when driving on the driveway, you soon realize that the outside area is very neat and generous. Here you can park up to 6 cars, 2 of them even in the shade. The garden is planted with typical Mediterranean vegetation and decorated with beautiful green corners. A large carob tree in the middle of the lawn offers a cozy shade. A great place for an afternoon break or reading. The absolute highlight of the garden is the pool area with different terraces, which really leave nothing to be desired. The 5m x 12m pool with whirlpool is surrounded by hyper-comfortable sun beds, which also provide shade at the same time. The barbecue area offers a modern relaxation area with cushions, as well as a covered eating zone. An outside shower and an outside bathroom with toilet are included here as well. The pool area is also equipped with an integrated music system, which makes it possible for you to listen to your favorite music in all areas (docking station for Iphone, Ipod, laptop, radio etc ...). For us from 5StarsHome a real vacation oasis with much comfort and super modern design.

Now to the 350 m² fantastically furnished interior of the villa, which is divided on 2 levels. On the ground floor is a large entrance hall which leads directly into the light-flooded living room. Here there is a large couch corner with XXL plasma TV and very tasteful decoration elements. Adjacent is the open dining room with a beautiful garden view. On the huge dining table, up to 14 adults can comfortably sit, ideal if you invited guests to dinner. The large round-arch windows allow plenty of daylight to appear, creating a very pleasant living and dining ambience. The separate designer kitchen is fully equipped and offers plenty of space. Here cooking is a real pleasure. The long dining table is equipped with absolutely stylish armchairs. A dream for extensive breakfast ceremonies. From here you have direct access to the furnished terrace, ideal for those who prefer their breakfast outdoors. On this terrace there is a second barbecue available.
One of the 4 double bedrooms is furnished on the ground floor and offers 2 single beds with bathroom en suite. Back to the entrance hall, you enter the upper living area via the large staircase with vintage railings. Here is another dining room with an original dining table and matching decoration. From here you reach a further furnished terrace with chill-out furniture, ideal for relaxing while you look out over the surrounding countryside. For all cinema fans, there is even an own home cinema with authentic TV sets on the upper floor, which makes all hearts beat faster. We've tried it out and are totally thrilled by the convenience of these designer armchairs. The sleeping area on the upper floor is divided into 3 additional double bedrooms (2 double beds, 2 single beds). Each bedroom has its own bathroom (2 of which is en suite). The large bathroom is also equipped with a Jacuzzi. All rooms are very lovingly furnished with modern and at the same time antique elements. The entire indoor area has air conditioning and Wifi internet. In cooler months the heating can be used. For the little ones we have baby cots and high chairs available. For those who want to prevent the annoying holiday pounds there is the possibility to burn some extra calories in the gym. Of course you can also just pull a few lanes in the pool. The housekeeper has placed great importance on quality, comfort and design throughout the property and thus created an absolutely outstanding holiday home. Let yourself be convinced of it and take back beautiful and unforgettable moments as a holiday reminder with you at home.

It is also located between two very important natural parks: Parc Natural de S’Albufera and Finca Pública de Son Real.

Today Can Picafort is a tourist destination of Mallorca which has a wide range of hotels and restaurants. In the early 70s, Can Picafort was a small fishing village with 200 inhabitants. With the passage of time was transformed into a resort with almost 10,000 hotel beds.

Can Picafort also known as C'an Picafort is a coastal holiday resort on the northern coast of Mallorca. Situated along the bay of Alcudia in the municipality of Santa Margalida this town is full of sun, fun and summer buzz.

Like many towns in this part of Mallorca Can Picafort is close to many early Bronze Age settlements, so has a very ancient history. This popular coastal resort is so developed you would be forgiven for thinking that it was purpose-built. In fact Can Picafort developed from being a small fishing village and has now transformed completely.

Can Picafort is now a very popular resort which is positively bustling during the summer season and mostly caters to German visitors, although you will find some bars aimed at British and Irish tourists. Here you will find everything that you would expect to enjoy an active, entertaining beach holiday.

Exploring the Pine Walk in Puerto Pollensa (Port de Pollença), Mallorca, Majorca, Spain

Join me as I take a stroll along the Pine Walk in Puerto Pollenca (Port de Pollença), Mallorca (Majorca), Spain.
It’s a beautiful sunny day here in Puerto Pollensa, located on the North East coast of Mallorca, and just a few minutes drive from Alcuida Old Town and Cap de Formentor lookout.
Both Alcuida Old Town and Cap de Formentor are great, easy days trips to make from Puerto Pollenca , and there are so many other things to do in the resort.
Cycling in and around Alcudia and Puerto Pollensa is one of the 10 ten activities to do in Mallorca, and there is an easy bike ride to make from Pollensa Port right along the bike path to Alcudia Old Town and down to Alcudia beach.
I will also give you an update as to what its like in Mallorca right now. And while the resort is very empty now and due to covid-19 restrictions on international travel, if Summers holidays for 2021 do go ahead in your country and you are allowed to travel to Mallorca, then check out this video to see what can expect by going on holiday to Puerto Pollensa this summer.
